Sabres and Devils skate to a 0-0 thriller after the first. Following some adjustments by one of the coaching staffs at intermission, Devils grab a goal in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd, then they pot another goal a few minutes later. In the 3rd, Olof picks up a PP goal to make it 2-1, but the Sabres fail to generate many 5v5 shots for the remainder of the game, and lose.

Gretzky is the greatest to ever play.

Ovi is a more complete player than Gretzky was, and is playing in an era that is much harder to score in.

I’d say the strike is more against Terry than JBott. He greenlighted it. Then Terry brings in a new GM, who doesn’t get his choice of coach or direction. Just keeps the current coach.

I mean, yeah, Terry has always been the head cheese. He’s the owner. Everyone under him is a puppet, and when they aren’t, they leave (Patty) or get canned. Its not like Kevyn was hired on his credentials. He was given the job because he’s been a yes man.

Everyone is pointing out the obvious, but none of them are suggesting solutions.

I don’t think Hall is done. I think he’s playing with a coach and a system that doesn’t know how to use him. Or Skinner or a dozen other players. I think he’s worth keeping if the Sabres are going to implement a veteran coach. If not, then flip him.
