  1. That's silly. There was already some really good stuff in that thread. Scott's a whiner.
  2. Yeichel I can't wait for Jack to be 100% His speed/strength/reach combination is absurd.
  3. If the Sabres can beat the Pens to ruin my fantasy gambling, they can go on a 7 game win streak.
  4.
  5. https://www.buzzfeed.com/michelleregna/29-things-millennials-were-accused-of-killing-in-the-year-20?utm_term=.xgQZXnP6N#.udzrL23qB This article made me think of this place.
  6. I knew this would come back to bite me! Trump is a professional Hearthstone player. I imagine this presidential election destroyed his google-ability.
  7. I think Zemgus needs Jack's help to get his mojo back. I also think Kane is going to go hard and tilt the ice in our favor when he's out there, no matter who he's with. As for the Kane assist to Samson the other night, I slammed him at the time for missing a wide open Jack in the slot. The way I see it there are two ways to look at it: 1) Kane knew not to try too much and made the right play throwing it into a dangerous area. 2) Kane didn't see Jack. I think #2 is more likely. Even if it was #1, I don't think that's a point in favor of keeping Kane with Eichel.
  8. Three. And the team was kept afloat almost single handedly by our power play while Jack was out. Now Jack is in for Matt freakin' Moulson. I'm with Dudacek, this could be the best #1 PP in the league.
  9. Wow. That song is awesome. I just set up my drumset because of it.
  10. Vanek and Reinhart have very different styles in front of the net. Vanek planted himself and hung in there. His signature tip was usually between his own legs. Samson is more of a lurker, constantly swiveling around the goal and timing his screen with the shot. I remember most of Reinhart's tips being higher than Vanek's, with Sam bringing his stick down to make ridiculously exact slight contact.
  11. The opening scene in He Got Game (the opening credits sequence) might be my favorite of all time. It's such a deeply emotional love letter to the beauty of basketball. The Copland score is both beautiful and unsettling. Beautiful to underscore the passion, unsettling because of what this movie is about. It evokes, to me, all those times I'm at the pond alone. Maybe my siblings just left, maybe it was just a solo skate anyways. When the only thing that's on my mind is what I'm going to do with the puck next. I can't stop going around one more time, getting one more shot, one more dangle. All my stress and worry and insecurity is gone. It's just me, the stars, and hockey. The scene that uses Hoedown 7 minutes later in the movie is also incredible. The use of the Copland music really captures the pace of basketball well. They're grinding and assessing until it's time to make a move... and it is glorious. There's probably an added level of emotion for me in these scenes because I played lots of Copland in high school and music was by far the most positive part of my high school experience.
  12. Kulikov and Bogo are out and Risto/McCabe can't play 60 minutes. That stuff just happens sometimes.
  13. Yes! Win! This was great, because I got to be excited about NHL hockey again. But this was also terrible, because I can't just not think about Bylsma anymore. He's so terrible.
  14. How can we miss so many empty net tries
  15. Man, Rob Ray sure was right when he said this would be a tight game. /eyeroll
  16. McCabe tripped big time in front of the net on that goal.
  17. I think Foligno has been his usual self. It just doesn't look as impressive when Larsson isn't dominating possession.
  18. Wow that call on Larsson was so lame.
  19. Gionta has been brutally missing passes tonight. Why was Fedun on instead of Eichel on that PP?
