yes and no I do think the Sabres have much more depth at the forward position than the Preds did. Goaltending is the big question mark. Can the Sabres find their Rinne ?

I've loved the idea of a RHD with the top pick for a couple of weeks BUT now im thinking grabbing a guy like Nemec at 5-8 may not be the best idea long term You have Dahlin as your top paid Dman and Power as your 2nd pair. Both are offensive Dmen and maybe the Sabres be better served playing with guys who put their defensive responsibilities first? You could grab a forward with your top pick and then look at RHD with one of the other first round picks. Maybe Jiricek falls a bit due to his injury or guys like Ryan Chesley (24th- consolotated rankings), Tristan Luneau (29th Consolidated), Maveric Lamoureux (29th Bob Mckenzie), or Elias Salomonsson (27th consolodated)?

I think there is a good portion of this board ready for them to take a RHD with the top pick.

No shame in this one. Hard fought dont get how 4 guys miss the Olofsson high stick to the face. Tuch taken down on the PP, another no call. -

McDermott is still getting out coached by Reid. However, I think (hope) he can learn from It and have a better solution next time they are faced with a similar situation Not withstanding the 4th and 1 where they punted, he has become more aggressive lately. hopefully he will figure out how to defend 13 seconds. Stay aggressive. Fortune favours the bold

the last time i felt like that was game 7 vs Hurricanes. leading 2-1 going into the 3rd. Just knowing if they can hold on there would be a clear path (edmonton) to a Stanley Cup. Still gutted today, especially for Josh. What more could the kid do? has to be disappointing to know the Defensive coaches crumbled at the worst time

would love to see JJ be called up and replace Bjork

Your Ideal Sabres Lineup for the Remainder of This Season?

I’m sure they will be on the Amerks playoff team. There’s a date they have to be on the Amerks roster. So they’ll get sent down for that date and then back up id guess -
Bring him up.

I should have said I assumed Buffalo drafted 5-8. Wright would be #1 if we got lucky
-
This is easy. Sabres 1st). Whomever is left. Cooley Savoie, Lambert 2) hope Vegas goes out in rd 1 and Jericik falls due to injury (Seamus Casey if not) 3) Rutger Mcgroady. For his name as much as anything

Updated Sabres Prospect Pool 2021 and beyond
Crusader1969 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I wouldn’t be so down on The 2 Russian forwards. Even getting KHL experience is pretty good for 18 year olds. And I’d throw their stats out the window as I doubt they play more than a few minutes in each game. Against their peers, they seem to be doing well. I’d argue the same thing with Rosen. Would love to see them move to North America next year , so Sabres can be more hands on with their development. Though I’m guessing they all have contracts that would prohibit that -

I really wonder about the validity of expected NHL points. Does it take the players age and years in the league into consideration? -
If Sabres are 6-10 I think RHD is the pick
