I've been saying for a long time that as long as EROD is on the Sabres they will not be a playoff caliber team. Today puts them one step closer to fielding a roster with more NHL caliber talent. Now that he's off the team, I couldn't care less about how far the team he's on goes into the playoffs. I find it weird people take things that seriously to get worked up about. Also Pitt is not winning the cup.

After the deadline the following forwards are UFAS: Frolik 4.3 M Simmonds 2.5M Vesey 2.275M Girgensons 1.6M Larsson 1.55 M I'd only be interested in re-signing Larsson but if I'm him, I'd explore my options in FA. JNOT has work to do this summer, to replace these guys and also find a a center.

He's not done yet. Based on past deadlines we'll get to 3pm and 10-15 minutes later we'll get a report someone was traded for a 6th round pick and then we'll get a press conference from Botts saying it's hard to be a GM / he likes what Simmonds will bring to help the playoff push.

I'm always intrigued by a 3rd line of supposedly up and coming players so I'd be intrigued by a Cozes, Cases, Tagger line but I'm also sure they'd get their heads caved in. Maybe.
