It wasn't just me thinking that they had it turned up to 11. When they switched from the PA to to the live band I could barely hear that music.

This is what I thought about Thompson at the start of last year. I can see Mitts being packaged in a deal if he doesn't perform this year.

I'll be there tonight (which makes it a must win in my eyes), really hoping to see Comrie and not Anderson in net. Will the Sabres have another hot October only to flame out in November? I say "No.". This year is different. We're bringing back the Goatheads which will provide a November spark. LETS GO SABRES.

I think Comrie is going to give us the best goaltending we've seen since Miller was traded away. This is the best defense the Sabres have iced since the tank began and he's put in his time and is due for this opportunity. I didn't love the Anderson re-signing, but it sounds like he's a great veteran presence in the locker room (which this team deinitely needs) and it's also obvious he's only here for one more year which drives competition for UPL/Comrie next year. I will remain as optimistic as I can about this season until I see otherwise.

I understand about Bjork. I also think Sheahan to IR also kept him on the team. My thinking is if anyone in the top 6 gets injured, Bjork wouldn't fill that role because he's just not good enough. Instead, we'd bump up someone from the bottom 6 to fill in and Bjorks game also doesn't really fit well in a bottom-6 role, which is what makes him completely useless on this team. I could see Sheahan having the ability to slide into the bottom-6 as a injury placeholder. As our roster stands now, Bjork is the only JAG forward left on the team and I look forward to the day when we can have all our jags off the team.

Sounds like GMKA thinks the best thing Peterka's next stage of development will be at the NHL level as he can only learn so much at the NHL level. I expect him to start the year looking lost/timid and will get sheltered minutes. It'll be a steep learning curve to start but ultimately the right call. Also disappointed to see Bjork still hanging around but he seems to 13th/14th forward

The horn is pretty awesome when you're at the stadium live screaming your brains out. I barely notice it when I'm watching at home.

If they felt Comrie needed a pre-season game with real defenders in front of him they would have given him that chance. To me his pre-season usage suggests they're comfortable with what they've seen from him in practices. Also, it's the preseason, don't read too much into anything. We're 6 days away from opening night and we'll get plenty of looks with him then. Comrie will be fine.

I have an Eichel 50th anniversary jersey. Does anyone know of any places in the Buffalo area that can replate jerseys so I can remove the Eichel stink?

I'd be shocked if our leadership group wasn't the three of them (with okposo as the C) to start the season.

Remember that every team this time of year is releasing goalies, and if they claimed Subban he'd have to be on their NHL roster. Subban is 4th on the Sabres depth chart, a team who hasn't had the goaltending sorted out since Ryan Miller was here. Nobody is claiming him.
