  1. How do you feel about Murray? It might be a little early to judge him as we have to see how his non Jack/Sam draft picks pan out but we are hampered by the contracts of Bogo/Gorges, he was fast and loose with all the draft picks he acquired during the tank, the jury is still out on Lehner, he did nothing to address the Defense last year once injuries hit. The only move preventing GMTM from being, in my mind, a complete disaster was the ROR deal.
  2. Are teams only allowed to broadcast a certain number of pre-season games? The Pens are broadcasting this game and a whole bunch of other games have been broadcast as well.
  3. I agree it's a bit of a head scratcher but it's game 1 of the preseason so I'm not going to read into too much.
  4. Good questions, I was thinking "Who the f is Steve Moses" A quick google yielded these results - the article didn't have a time-stamp so I'm not sure when this happened: Rochester Americans General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the team has signed forward Stevie Moses to a one-year American Hockey League contract. Moses returns to North America after spending last season with St. Petersburg SKA of the Kontinental Hockey League, posting 10 points (3+7) in 24 games. A 27-year-old native of Leominster, Mass., Moses split the 2015-16 campaign between St. Petersburg and the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), totaling 23 points (12+11) in 37 games. Moses also registered 118 points (70+48) over three seasons (2012-15) with Jokerit Helsinki, including career-highs in goals (36) and points (57) during the 2014-15 campaign, and has nine points (4+5) in 24 career AHL games with Connecticut and Milwaukee. Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot-9, 170-pound forward played four years at the University of New Hampshire (H-East), where he amassed 98 points (47+51) in 148 career games for the Wildcats. Moses led all UNH skaters in goals and points as a senior and was a two-time Hockey East All-Academic selection. Rochester begins its 62nd season in the American Hockey League on Friday, Oct. 6 against the Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena. Amerks Season Ticket Memberships for the 2017-18 campaign, which start as low as just $12 per game, are on-sale now. The Amerks are also offering a variety of partial plans, including Half-Season Memberships and Flex Season Memberships with vouchers good for best available seating to any home game. All memberships are up to 40% off Box Office day of game pricing. For more information, visit www.amerks.com/seasontickets or call 1-855-GO-AMERKS.
  5. Buffalo isn't broadcasting video and a cursory google search leads me to believe the Hurricanes are also no providing a broadcast. I say this every year, the NHL is disgrace for not proving video for pre-season games. Aside from that I'm really excited that hockey is finally back. MUST. WIN.
  6. http://buffalonews.com/2017/09/15/sabres-announce-preseason-broadcast-schedule/http://buffalonews.com/2017/09/15/sabres-announce-preseason-broadcast-schedule/ "Buffalo announced Friday that all of its exhibition games will be carried on WGR-AM 550. The final three games will also be shown on MSG." I really wish they'd stream all of the pre-season games. We're desperate for Sabres hockey, GIVE US OUR FIX!
  7. This reads as being directed at last year's coaching staff.
  8. Actions do indeed speak louder than words. Sure, DDB said that but did he do that? No. He did not and that's why we hate them. HCPH has the benefit of the doubt. He's saying that so we should take his word for it. If in 6 months the on ice product does not reflect that we can then take out the pitchforks, hell, we don't even have to sharpen them.
  9. Nothing pissed me off more hearing Blysma speak to the media game in and game out talking about how much more talented the other team was and how they needed to be contained. The vibe he gave off in pre-game interviews sounded timid and scared and just reeked of a loser mentality. Ugh, good riddance.
  10. Yeah but Housley is a Hall of Famer and DDB was a 4th line grinder who listens to disco.
  11. I am so happy the off-season is over. What's the over/under on the pre-season games being streamed?
  12. If one of each happens there's no doubt in my mind we make the playoffs this year.
  13. Wrote him off or just plain forgot about him. I definitely had moments this summer where I forgot about him. Larsson will be an interesting player to keep an eye on this year. Two seasons ago everybody seemed to love the 3rd line of him centering Foligno and Gionta. Is he the 4th line center on this team? My memory is fuzzy on this but I recall he was upset with Nolan who had him on the 4th line. Will he have that attitude on that line or has he matured and knows the role he needs to play on the team? I'm also curious whose on his line this year? Does Housley replicate a line similar to what he was playing on before? Girgensons - Larsson - Pomenville? Fasching - Larsson - Pomenville? Will he play wing somewhere?
  14. "You're telling me you like music and playing hockey too?
  15. I hope it's somebody, anybody. I'm desperate to see some success on this team from anybody not named Eichel so uh...I'll take whatever I can get. Is there any way Kane or Okposo can surprise? What kind of numbers would they have to put up to surprise people in a positive way? What about Pomenstein? In all likelihood the surprise should come from a younger guy or on the defense and if I were to bet it'd be Antipin.
  16. The Sabres and Penguins are 1 - 0 - 1 The Bruins and Devils are 1 - 1 - 0 Winner of the Sabres v. Penguins takes home the tournament title. Buffalo's prospects should have more skill considering recent draft positions. This will be a match of skill versus the "Penguins Process" supposedly set up by JBots himself.
  17. Bailey just Kane'd that hard and made the team pay the price.
  18. 3 v 3 OT? Should be an interesting end. Let's put our speedsters out there and see what they can do.
  19. Really wish this stream had replays but it's better than nothing.
  20. I've been casually watching online. Really seems like the Sabres are picking up the pace in the 2nd and are carrying it over into the 3rd. I've barely heard Hirschier's name mentioned, has he wow'd anybody?
  21. I want to see him score the first goal of the season for us. I agree with everything I see above and I wonder if he'll get an A on his jersey.
  22. The answer is a coaching philosophy that the team can get on board with. That's what sunk the ship last year and until it's implemented that's the problem we're going to have. I have every bit of faith in the new coach and his staff. The pieces are all here what we need is the glue.
  23. We can't consider him a center in the league until he starts playing center.
  24. Depending how you define "better", Sam was better than Duchene last year. Sam had 47 points in 79 games to Duchene's 41 in 77. There's also a -20 point gap in plus minus but Duchene was on a team somehow worse than the Sabres tank at full speed so that doesn't seem fair to compare. Duchene's production will be tied to whether or not he gets traded this year. If he's moved and is put on a line with capable players he'll probably out-perform Sam (who I hope is centering a 3rd line).
  25. The last articles i see posted are from Sep. 2nd. I've just assumed that there's not many articles lately as we've been surfing the asscheeks of the off-season and there really isn't news.
