Bills just promoted a TE to their roster, and released 2 players (Ed Eagen, that receiver brought up this week, and another TE). Any reason why we would release a 2nd player? EDIT: Mike Rodak says the Following Under NFL rules, the Bills are required to fill their open 53-man roster by 4 PM on Saturday because OT Michael Ola and CB Marcus Roberson are signed to the Bills' practice squad under an exception given their NFL playing experience. Wonder who the Bills are bringing in or if they are just gonna sign another person off the squad

Landry fined a little more than $24k for the hit on A. Williams. Meanwhile, no suspension, as Williams contemplates retirement amid reports that he has numbness on his right side again. Blandino (VP of Player Safety) was interviewed and said intent could not be determined and that, while yes it was an illegal hit, it was still a "football play". Read a great article on SI today arguing that the NFL is leagues behind other leagues (i.e. soccer, hockey, etc.) when it comes to head contact. Used an NHL play as evidence too. A hit to the head had a player ejected, and was suspended for four subsequent games. I know we around here harp on the NHL for not getting things right, but my God they are still ahead of the curve compared to the NFL, which is sad. As a father of two sons, I'm pretty sure I will not let them play football. Baseball, soccer, hell even hockey, but not football. If they're anything like me, they won't be playing basketball anyways so I needn't even talk about it.

Started my day off right: get to work, sit down, and *RIP* there goes my pants. I had gym clothes with me but I can't wear them for two reasons: (1) professionalism, especially with a customer visiting and (2) not allowed to wear shorts in the work place. Had to drive all the way home (25 minutes) to change so I wasn't flashing my a$$ to everyone. yay. and only 5 people saw me like that...but 3 of those 5 have the biggest mouths too so I'm not gonn hear the end of it today...

so Ed Eagan has been called up from the practice squad...WR...undrafted FA. Called up over Dez Lewis, and some other tall guy (Washington?). 1 Bills Dr obviously has zero confidence in Lewis. Really need to swing a trade for someone.

Finally got back to the gym. Been runnign here and there with the twins in the BOB stroller (man that's a bitch by mile 5). Finally re-upped my gym membership after 10 months though. Gonna start going everyday after work now that the wife has a new job and our schedule finally allows for it!

I hate that he's with Rasmus. Hopefully we can get on a roll starting tonight. Let's go Sabres!

When does NFL release statements about additional fines or suspensions? Will Landry see one for the vicious hit on A-Williams?

Today is my Friday. Staying home with the twins tomorrow...so I'm staying up to watch this one :)

Mike G and Jonathan Williams should still be able to find holes against this Defense (2nd worst in the league against the run, only to San Fran). Woods and Clay, from what I had heard, should still be good to go. Defense might need to steal this game for us.

Managers, who think their engineers, who then move deadlines because, "It's not that hard of a project." You're right, it's not that hard theoretically, but when you need to design all of the parts, make a bill of materials, and then have a machine shop make the parts on top of their regular billable work, and then assemble and test said equipment...it's a little more time consuming than you think it is, and I'm sorry, but there's only one single/non-parent in our workgroup, and the rest of us don't have the time or energy to work more than 1 maybe 2 12 hour days to get this finished 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Be grateful that we're 1 week ahead of schedule....

Just to be clear, Marrone's record his last year, and Rex's record were actually, believe it or not, the same. I know, the standings will say that the Bills were 9-7 vs 8-8, but Marrone beat a Pats team that played its starters for a quarter with what looked like no gameplan. The game meant nothing to the Pats. Pick any college team, and they probably could've won that game too. Marrone was Dick Jauron 2.0 in my opinion, mediocrity at its finest, and Rex is definitely the better of the two.

he's gotta maintain his 82 goal pace somehow.
