Considering almost all of his assets were cash at one point in May 2010, and the markets are up about 25% since then. I think that we can roughly estimate that his current income on those assets is far enough into the "I love the sabres so I don't care" zone to justify saying he won't miss the money.

I think you are underestimating what $3,000,000,000.00 is. Assuming modest asset growth, he earns the entire annual revenue of the Sabres in about 7 and a half months. That's not just the payroll, that's the entire operating revenue. He could finance the team entirely without spending a dime of his nest egg. He won't miss the money.

I will reiterate. Enroth and the Power Play. Yes, the defense needs to be better, but we win that game with a mediocre Enroth and a Mediocre Power Play. They both had to be spectacularly bad for us to lose last night. 6 power plays should be a net +1 in goals, not -1 The worst possible outcome of this game, is if Lindy gets scared away from using Enroth Feb 3rd.

Kassian is only playing on the top line due to injuries. He does not have the skill to be there. His numbers will be better while he's up there, but once the nucks get healthy, he'll be back down in the bottom half of the lineup, and struggle to get going once more.
