  1. Just to clarify, I don't mean next year for 60, I mean his peak development.

  3. GP/G/A/Pts/PIM/aTOI 70/8/14/22/14/15:19 70/11/24/35/4/13:39 The top line is Zemgus's first NHL season when he was 20 and on the worst team in the NHL The second line is Pavel Datsyuk's first NHL season when he was 24 and on the best team in the NHL He probably will not become a 90-point HoF defensive centerman, but he very well could become a 60-point Selke guy. Pretty solid guy for what essentially cost us Goose and a mid-round 2nd. This is the player I am most excited to see grow this season.
  4. SOOO HAPPY!!!!!
  5. I received my first bottle from my "Bourbon of the Month" club yesterday evening. :D It is a 3-year aged bourbon <_< form the Northwest (Distilled in Washington, aged in Bend, OR) called Tatoosh. They are a brand new outfit, opened in 2009, started sales in 2012. Small batch Bourbon, but bottled at 80 proof. Popped open the bottle, nose has a really nice cherry note. :) Then I had to close 'er up because I had to haul tookus into the office and get some work done. :( I'll report the tasting tonight when I get a chance, hopefully. For now I just get to think about bourbon all day.
  6. someone whose life is being ruined by coke?
  7. My roomates and I used to do $1 or "beer bets" all the time on random sporting events to ensure a rooting interest for each party.

  12. But people may wonder how much of that $76 Million Vanek took to shave points. That's serious business.
  13. this makes me happy. thank you for sharing.
  14. Danke, Elf.
  15. I think the spreadsheet indicates that with the exception of Girgensons, there is no real data to judge the 10-15th picks in the 2012 draft. Given the progress of other players picked at his level, and who had even LESS to show from other leagues, with the exception of Nichushkin, I expect him to play 15-30 NHL games this year and score between 0.25 and 0.35 ppg. 2015-16 season we will find out what kind of player he's going to be.
  16. Which makes the interloper-owners' money grab logos all the more sinful.
  17. You're right. Which is exactly why we have the Timberwolfs, Rockys, Phillys, and and Grizzlys. I'm not really sure what I was thinking initially. my apologies. :P
  18. . Ah, correct, it is a word. But it does not mean what they think it means.
  19. A Spreadsheet for Perspective. Stats for all forwards taken between 10 and 15 for the last 5 drafts classes who have had a chance to play. Untitled spreadsheet - Sheet1.pdf
  20. three things. first, they are the Toronto Maple Leafs, and they don't have a symbol for Toronto in their logo, just the word, and that's lame. second, leafs isn't a word, so it literally can't be literal. third, if leafs were a word, it would be plural, and their logo has but one leaf.
  21. I'm confident we will be #1 because we have the most literal logo possible.
  22. pessimism is an assessment. :P
  23. nfreeman- not showing high end results in half a season of games, with very limited minutes and no surrounding talent is not a body of work to base ANY analysis on. At this point, his performance in Juniors and International competition is far more indicative. 43 games with extremely limited minutes and little in the way of helpful linemate is useless for evaluation which, in my opinion, is further evidence of his mismanagement.
  24. Great post, especially the bolded.
  25. That's twice today. I'm gonna have to re-examine my life choices.
