I remember seeing the sabres RT you at one point (i wasn't following you) and i thought "Holy Crap! It's Chz!" I found The Sports Buff the same exact way. My twitter handle is @JohnnyHopkins91. I see Doan as a mentor, as a valuable player yes, but a culture move more than an on ice product move, at least directly speaking. If you lock Doan up for those 4 years, you'll give players like Foligno, Myers, Ennis, Girgensons, Grigorenko, and all the other young guns someone to look up to. Someone to take an example from. I think that Doan is the guy we need. A great leader, a great player, and a huge character guy. He's what we need to set the tone for the next 15 years as far as instilling a sense of dedication and character in our young players. Doan and regher are character vets. I think shipping out the old core (Roy, Goose) and bringing in these character guys is exactly what we need to really make the new core of prospects and young guys we have something really special.

With ehroff at 4 mil per season? not a chance Greens worth that kinda money.

I would NEVER trade McNabb for Morrow given what we know about his back. The risk v reward is far too great. I would love to add Morrow, i think he'd be a perfect fit, but his history on the back injury hes suffering is just more concerning than anything id be willing to get in exchange for McNabb

I never said we didnt need Ott, I'm simply acknowledging that just because we don't need Roy, doesn't mean nobody does. He is an asset whether you like it or not, and selling someone with his upside at his cap hit for a grinder (albeit a very good one) just doesnt make sense. Just as you think Darcy overvalues his players because he likes them too much, there are several posters on this board who undervalue them simply becuase they arent fans.
