  1. I always saw Bon Jovi as a Pop Rockish Hair metal group for women.... doesnt really roll off the tongue but i think it sums it up.
  2. It's posts like this that make me miss the good ol +1
  3. Moving into a new house for the summer in Buffalo tomorrow so I've been away for a couple hours, but to reiterate my opinion on the Staff Ennis Foligno line: Stafford had his career year while playing with Ennis. Two years ago. While Darcy may view chemistry as pairs, in this case i disagree. Foligno creates space for the other two with his physical game, which in turn gives ennis more room to do what he does best, creative passing plays. And say what you will about Drew, he's got a pretty great shot, and those three combine for a pretty lethal high pressure combo. Those pointing at stats, dont forget that line wasnt even put together until the very end of the year. Anyone denying that they were extremely productive is simply ignoring facts. Give em a full year together, if it doesn't work out ship em. I think it will work out however.
  4. Understandable, but if I'm not mistaken that line was up there with the best in the league once they were put together. As far as I'm concerned, if that line gets split up for any reason other than one of the three being hurt, that should be Ruffs last coaching decision behind the Buffalo bench. One of the most effective lines I've seen in Blue and Gold in years. I think there are bigger issues on this team than Stafford right now. Leave the line that works (and works well) alone. Once you get three scoring lines back, tweak it. EDIT: i really don't see how keeping one of the top offensive threesomes we've had in years together would be "counterproductive". I wanna give Stafford a chance after what i saw at the end of the year. Penner turned heads in LA this post season, and he was often likened to the Stafford of the West on this board. That doesnt mean hes guaranteed to pan out, but based off what i saw from the Ennis Foligno Stafford line, i really want to see what kind of damage they can do over the course of a year.
  5. Disagree, first players that came to mind were Ennis Foligno and Stafford.
  6. Go to grace potter, you will not be disappointed.
  7. Hittin up Blink 182 at blue cross this coming tuesday, other than that not much planned as of yet, I'm more of a spur of the moment concert guy myself unless its someone i've wanted to see for a while. Definitely a rock n Roll enthusiast at heart but i picked up a mixing table for my laptop about a year ago and have really started getting into the electronic / house scene as well, so i wouldn't mind seeing some shows like that.
  8. Thanks to everyone for the fun year in Gold and Blue! This was the first year i was able to do some serious fantasy hockey with individuals who know the sport well. It was a lot of fun, and i hope you guys have room for me next year again! D4rk, it was one heck of a matchup man, i was biting my nails all week, and i wouldnt have wanted the finals any other way! Cheers
  9. Good luck to you in gold sir. May the best team win!
  10. I would've enjoyed playing you healthy this week for sure. I have to say your team was one that i admired most after the draft at the beginning of the season. Thanks for the well wishes, and better luck next year!
  11. I didnt catch the game till the last 3 minutes, whats with the 11 minutes of ice time? did he do something to get himself in lindys doghouse?
  12. OH ###### MY BAD!!!! ###### ITS TOO LATE plus one for catching me on my BS good sir.
  13. Vanek Adam Pommer worked well, i don't see why that isnt a line anymore. Next year without signing anyone you could make a solid lineup with Vanek Adam Pommer Stafford Ennis Foligno Leino Roy Gerbe Tropp McCormick Kaleta feel free to take this and upgrade players in FA, but i like this lineup a lot, you have a top line with a center who can make space a skill line with a physical edge to it in foligno a straight up explosively offensive line that could tear lower d pairings up if they click and one of the scariest 4th lines in the league in terms of sheer nastyness.
  14. Toews is supposed to back soon is he not? I could be wrong but thats what i heard from a buddy of mine. Strong night by ennis gives me some hope.
  15. Bring it on Deluca  Should be an interesting week in Gold, Here's hoping my offensive guns show up this week, lord knows i got a ton of em.
  16. i've been getting slammed with school (and on top of that i'm pledging to a professional fraternity) so i've been checking in here and there when i can, sorry i've been slacking guys. Haven't been able to check good ol sabrespace as much lately either
  17. That last part may be the most outlandish statement ive ever seen you post.
  18. Letang tried to avoid playing the puck in the corner and avoid the hit, he moved and put himself in a bad spot. not sure i can say thats nystroms fault
  19. I want to see: Vanek Hodgson Pominville Ennis Roy Stafford Leino Adam Boyes Tropp McCormick/Ellis Kaleta
  20. This. Perfect analysis shrader. This is a deal that sets us up for the future. Todays trades stock assets for the future, as well as make a soft team softer. In my opinon, making the team softer is going to cause the team to tank, and we'll be awarded a top 5 overall pick. This is GOOD in my eyes, because it's not all that difficult to pick up physical role players in the summer months, the pick could turn into another great player, and we have plenty of grit waiting to join the big club (I'm looking at you, Foligno, McNabb, Tropp). Things just got interesting.
  21. We're analyzing argument structures right now, and he always says stuff like "The sabres will win their next game", this is probably not the case but when put into "x" form, it is a valid argument. He's definitely a fan, and he definitely is aware of the teams current problems, but he has a good sense of humor about it. Definitely necessary.
  22. Taking a logic class as an elective at UB, and the professor is actually really engaging. And the course material is surprisingly interesting. And he constantly references the sabres in his lectures. F'N Fantastic.
