  1. That was a trip for sure, it was the rest of the game that has me thinking there's Def some "swaying" going on. It is a great series, we would get absolutley crushed
  2. Refs are giving the Rags some nice breaks.
  3. Crazy takeout of Shesterkin, playing dirty.
  4. 26k ouchhh... It is pretty cool, I was also looking at Altoz TRX with the triangular tracks in place of tires that also would work well, that's around 23k. That would allow me to attach a plow and salt spreader on back and use it all year for plowing (assuming winter comes back ever) either way I would have to finance.
  5. I guess I never realized until last night that the Bs had 109 points to FLA 110. Much more evenly matched than expected. As for the game, FLA needs to step it up, they buzzed a little in the beginning, but man they just didn't have that "it" factor the playoffs require. Also, Bob left some openings and I think the Bruins have found something, he gave up all the goals over his shoulder basically.
  6. I've thought of that, but I live on top of a hill, so that's the whole yard lol. Plus good wildflower seed is not cheap 😭😭 If I cut sideways along the hill it's a little better, but I'm pushing fate a little here
  7. Mowed 5 acres yesterday, zero turn is nice but my hill is still too steep for it, so I kept sliding down the hill ruining my nice lines. Can't believe how much it grew while I was away
  8. Looked like he came out of the crease and attacked the puck, blurry line where his protection ends. I don't see the NHL overturning that (although it's Toronto making the call, so maybe so payback) 😜
  9. Russia learned the hard way back in the day. The white sniper was not to be messed with in Finland. Gods of the 4th circle.
  10. Boston looks much better than I was expecting. They just don't go away.
  11. We going by actual age or the age we feel inside, because I go from the Saved by the bell Zack Morris to Grad torino Clint Eastwood reallllll quick in that case.
  12. Britany and Normandy were amazing. Went to the D day invasion site at Omaha Beach, what a gross misstep that day was. St. Malo was a cool stop and the crepes and salted butter caramels in northern France were yummmmm Lithuania was awesome, almost anywhere in the county was enjoyable. Latvia was a mixed bag, Riga was Meh to me, too much of a bigger city feel and kind of trashy. Went to Sigulda and did a country sauna the first night where this Latvian sauna master lady beat the $hit out of us with birch whisks butt naked and it was a whole traditional thing; then went out and jumped into the ice cold pond, some tea and fruit then a relaxing break on a haystack under the stars covered in wool blankets, then rinse and repeat. Kuldiga was an awesome small town and Jurmala was a nice beach town only 30 min from Riga. Then we got stuck in Paris for a day as that's the way the flights worked out. They're prepping for the Olympics and it's even crappier than usual, holy hell is that city just terrible. Then someone at the airport stole my bag of Baltic chocolates that I was collecting through the whole trip, as if I needed to hate Paris any more. Currently 2.5 hours away from landing in Toronto, going to hit the all you can eat Japanese/Korean BBQ in Toronto before driving home. Can't wait to plan the next trip!
  13. As happy as I am the leafs lost again. This is the first year that I'm having a hard time "really" enjoying it. Yet another Sabre miss and subsequent new coach, I am just beat down. We are an embarrassment to all of professional sports; so I would take a game 7 OT loss at this point gladly.
  14. I will take Toronto and NYC over Paris... And that's saying something. It's a disgusting city full of $hit and urine everywhere, the food is nowhere near as quality as people make it. The parisian attitudes are toxic. However, the rest of France is sublime and being in Paris is a necessary evil as the gateway to a lot of places.
  15. Sadly Leaving the Baltics, one last day in Paris before flying to Toronto. Hate Paris, but it was the only way the flights made sense.
  16. There's also a Slavic grocery store on William st in Buffalo, so there's a little bit of a population there as well. Currently in the south towns there are 2 families from Ukraine that have 2 years here as they have fled the country. I see the husband and his wife at the Y sometimes, we talk in the steamroom, his English is poor but I've learned a little ukraine so I can speak with him.
  17. That makes more sense, yeah I'm sure the older generations may have that. I have spoken to mostly young-ish people here; a lot of the elderly here are very fluent in English and I know next to zero of the Baltic languages. I get a small feeling that Lithuania does have a bit more money here just based on what I saw while driving.
  18. The Chinese tour groups are everywhere, and their culture is just..... Um... Rude (putting it lightly) A local family was walking my way with a crying 4 year old and this old Asian man (part of tour group) starts mocking the kid, crying and kneeling down, maybe he honestly thought he was funny, but it was one of the most akward things I've seen In a while. This is a recurring theme, in about 85 of the 92 countries I've been, I've run into a tour group of them and they are always just a mess.
  19. This isn't the feeling I am getting, Latvians and Lithuanians are more like brothers, linguistically similar, they consider each other a Baltic nation and Estonia a Finnish nation more or less. They consider themselves as 2 of the only Baltic states. I have asked probably 15 people over the last week or so and have received the same answer from both counties as I was genuinely curious before I got here. Not like in Finland where they def don't want to be mixed up with "ruskies" or in Australia where a lot of Aussies don't want to be "kiwis" from New Zealand. They Def have a distinct disdain of Russian that goes back decades but has obvious been increased. Side note, Today I was on the Curonian Spit and was at the border of Lithuania and Kaliningrad. Saw a bunch of NATO soldiers ripping people out of the car with guns pointed , snipers up in the trees, crazy times. I was a few hundred feet from the border having a lunch beer on the sand dunes watching it all go down. Crazy times.
  20. Just confirmed with the Latvian waiter here, they declared it a national holiday when Team Latvia beat Canada and took 3rd. The whole country had off. He told me there is no rivalry with Lithuania at all with Hockey. They love Ted Nolan and Zemgus here. I'm still trying to track him down 😂😂
