Where would the Rangers be without Shesterkin, seriously. Similar to, where would those sabres teams have been without Hasek. It's the one position that can really make or break you. The Blues wouldn't have won without Binnington (even if he is dog doo doo now) Hopefully we have our duo set.

Considering they couldn't elevate when the team was on the "cusp" then it appears that they could not if they actually made the dance. We needed to make it one of the last 2 years. As for the playoffs, they've been pretty good. This panthers/rags series is awesome

Maybe a bit of fatigue kicking in, a lot of hockey has been played. Also my bracket is fairly trash, a panthers win over the Oil, would allow me to redeem a little bit lol

I think the Sabres could have beaten this year's Washington in round one. Other than that, they would have been swept or lost 4-1 against any other remaining team. Even if we squeak into the playoffs this season, we have zero experience and will get bounced, so we need at least 2 seasons (being optimistic) to actually make some noise. I'm seeing all the shots of fan bases hanging out in Central Park and outside the arena and having a blast and I remember going to party in the Plaza in my youth and would love to see it again.

I still think either Smason has some neruo issue or some crazy OCD come playoff time. The way he is twitching has increased with each round, even at the facoff dot. I don't remember that here at all.

Another OT Rangers win.. SDS did Y'all a favor by shutting this place down, I've since become less annoyed by the win. Good hockey though for sure! Unlike that western conference atrocity 😉

Yeah, I think when Dallas got going, they had wayyyy more high danger chances and the Oil kinda just mucked around with twirls and passes and almost everything was blocked. The first 10 minutes was an Edmonton flurry, I think they may have worn down a bit quick because of that 1st period.

I mean there were some hits, for sure. But the overall flow of the game was choppy at best, McDavid is trying to skate through a trap almost every time he touches the puck (sure that's a great plan) but still makes it a boring game. Just comparing to the Rags/Panthers, it's not even in the same stratosphere of enjoyable hockey (to me at least) But if you enjoyed it, my opinion doesn't matter much lol.
