  1. Well on their way to another garbage time improvement, I suppose?
  2. I am so looking forward to another 11-7 gameday roster. Not really.
  3. I want only good things for Gus and KO, and that includes them having a shot at the playoffs. Mike Ramsey was my all time favorite Sabre. I was very happy to see him get a chance at a Cup with Pitt, and then Detroit before he retired. He earned it. I feel exactly the same with regards to Gus and KO, so I guess in that regard I would care. Otherwise, whatever…….
  4. PAs not lying. I have the DMs.
  5. Like a stopped clock, we are.
  6. Meh. I said essentially the same with like 1/3 of the sentences on page one of that thread, and I bring nothing of value to this board. 😃
  7. The pull a section of clothing off the owner after each win thing might get weird though.
  8. Yup. As long as it’s a genuine hockey trade, there are no untouchables. None of this magic bean and lottery ticket crap though. Go out and get me some winners. Noone should feel safe.
  9. The irrational emotion you feel when you can’t fall asleep, it’s 3am, and you have to be in the office that day. Alternative: Pulling a fish hook out of your finger. Alternative #2 Having a witty reply all set to post, only to find that SDS prematurely locked the thread.
  10. Pick your metric. There isn’t anything in the data or the eye test to back that up this season.
  11. Yup. Toker and Cooley better than Comrie is hyperbole. And Comrie ain’t going nowhere unless either 1. We have a goalie that wins the #1 spot outright or 2. The roster gets fully healthy and we absolutely need the roster spot.
  12. Agreed. The tank started when suffering was announced, but the malaise def started around the Miller-Lucic incident. We were exposed as frauds then, and never recovered our reputation.
  13. I don’t think I’ve ever seen ruffed grouse in timber light enough to identify one at 75yds.
  14. We needed a splash like this in the offseason. I feel like it is REALLY needed now. A shake up would be healthy, and there is nothing like sending a message to tue team that we are going for it. The problem is, it’s too late for the playoffs this season.
  15. I went with a model 93 because I am a lefty, and not many lefty rimfire bolt actions out there. I like it. Alot. I did change the stock though. The plastic stock that comes with the gun felt very hollow and flexible. I bought a stock from Boyds to replace it. It required a small amount of dremel work in the inletting to get it fit right. Maybe 15 minutes and a careful hand. But it looks and feels great. Those VMax can be pretty destructive. Wouldn’t that tear up too much meat on a ruffed grouse?
  16. The odds makers have to be scared now.
  17. I have never been so unsure of what needs to happen to turn this team around. In years past you could point to a defensive center, or a #2 PP QB, or a #2 goalie. This team is such an enigma, that I am unsure of what the real need is.
  18. Game against Eichel and the game day thread is 3 pages well into the evening. This fanbase is so done with this *****.
  19. Hell of a dilemma. I’m not interested a long term deal for anyone until this ship gets righted. Glad I’m not responsible to figure this ***** out.
  20. Welcome to my world. Anyone who is active on this site still cares. I’m still a fan. What I am not is, I am not someone who prioritizes watching the games. I see them when they are convenient to do so, and I stop watching at the first indication that I won’t be entertained. I said it somewhere else, maybe last week. During Thanksgiving the talk turned to the Sabres and at one point my son observed, “you are more interested in the off ice stuff than the on ice stuff”. And he’s 100% correct. I’m still very much a fan. I still very much pay attention to what is happening. But I stopped being interested in the games themselves shortly after Pegula made the decision that entertaining me was not a priority. And it’s not that the team is bad. It is that the team is not entertaining. Why did we all love the Nolan era? The teams mostly sucked. But they entertained as best they could and we all thought they were the most lovable . And we watched. ***** you Terry Pegula, and ***** you to the tank supporters.
  21. First thing I thought was ribs.
