  1. Get over yourself. There is nothing serious about being a Sabres fan. It is an entertainment source. Nothing more. It isn't like you're walking away from being a made man or quitting the Hell's Angels.
  2. We are going to find out for sure.
  3. We could argue “incompetently” but it would be semantics, mostly. The context I agree with fully.
  4. I don’t think it needs to be said (at least to the long timers) that I abhor this strategy. I hated it the first time we did it. My mind hasn’t changed this time. I find it fascinating that there are fans thinking KA is incompetent as opposed to cold and calculating regarding the path he has chosen. OK, maybe just one fan. 😂
  5. Everyone talking about whether KA thinks UPL is ready or if they really wanted Linus. I think its pretty obvious all they really are looking for adequate at best goaltending and just enough talent to make sure UPL is pushed and not given an NHL job.
  6. The part I left above is pretty much how I’ve read the situation as well. Frankly, I think that the 3 headed goalie monster we’ve got now is going to battle for 2 NHL spots, and I don’t think UPLs development is going to be a factor in whether he’s on Buffalo’s or Roc’s roster. Best 2 on the big club, leftover rides the bus. That’s what I think is KA’s plan.
  7. How is Hall’s situation really any different than Hinostras? Why would Hall be inclined towards polite and disingenuous and Hinostra not have the same motivation to do the same? They both took the best money they could at the time. Yes, Hinostra maybe gets opportunity here that he wouldn’t elsewhere, but at the end of the day both were supposedly wooed by coach-speak. Lets see if he’s still motivated when there is nothing to play for in November.
  8. Hall said himself it was a huge factor. And I am sure it was right up until he realized this team was not winning anything. And it will be the same for Hinostra as well. And that is my only point.
  9. I don’t buy it. Not yet. Taylor Hall was excited to come play for RK.
  10. So not during the big cover up?
  11. Whiskey 7. They get that bird up in the air fairly frequently. We see it flying by our house occasionally.
  12. It. Wasn’t. A. Serious. Offer. Optics. Nothing else.
  13. Do you really think KA put all his eggs in the Linus basket if his goal was to have competent goaltending? No plan B should tell you everything you need to know. Linus was not critical to their plan (setting up for the future). Again, there is no disconnect. Its pretty clear that this is another throw away season by design, and you don’t woo decent goaltending if your goal is a throwaway season. I get you don’t like or trust KA, but a plan B is basic ***** that even internet amateurs would figure out if good goaltending was important. KA is at least at that level of competence, and almost certainly more than that. Good goaltending was obviously not important to the short term plan.
  14. Did they really try that hard to sign Linus though? They wouldn’t offer term and they wouldn’t beat the $$s. Wouldn’t surprise me if they made a token effort but weren’t terribly serious about it. I don’t see a disconnect really.
  15. You've been beat to that one at least once.
  16. The first I’ve seen him play was end of last season. Color me impressed. He’s a friggin mule on skates.
  17. Samuelsson is my beacon of light on this roster. I think he forces his way onto the team in training camp.
  18. I can't see him not resigning. It seems inevitable. IMO he needs to get it over with and pronto.
  19. I haven't seen a boat tip off a trailer, but I did see a guy with an overloaded tow vehicle drop his trailer off the end of the ramp loading a pontoon boat earleir this year. LOLs aplenty there. Guy was towing a monstrous pontoon boat with a little Jeep Cherokee. No way that Cherokee (not a Grand, just a Cherokee) was rated to tow that much weight. Lake Ontario was low and he backed in too far to get the boat to load onto the trailer. He dropped the trailer wheels off the end of the ramp and couldn't get the trailer over the hump. Fortunatley for him the town was at the ramp that day with an crane and they saved his bacon. I followed him out of the boat ramp and down the road. That vehicle was way overmatched by the load it was towing. He was a catastrophe waiting to happen.
  20. No shoes. And, I know, right? Keeper crappies in a lake that gets alot of pressure are precious indeed.
  21. He wanted a team that played up tempo though. Another way of saying playing with speed.
  22. So, still hitting par?
  23. Sounds like Drury, not Eichel. What is it about Colorado that breeds these types?
