  1. Say you have 35 mil in cap room. Currently, you could give a contract to five guys giving them payouts of 15, 9, 6, 3, and 2 for a cap hit of 7 for each player. If the cap hit was actual dollars instead of average dollars, you can only sign two players at those numbers. I think switching from average to actual will increase parity, not reduce it.
  2. I'm not positive, but I think there's a rule in place that prevents a 90% drop off in salery from one year to the next. Either way, I see your point. I think it's a better system than what's currently in place. You disagree. That's fine.
  3. It did not help. I read it, I understood it, I dismissed it. It did absolutely nothing to address my question to you as to how you draw a parallel between the US and the former soviet union based on the article you linked when you made the parallel. Perhaps you linked the wrong story? Let me try again. I would like to know why YOU draw the parallel. I don't want to read why some agenda driven hack draws it. You. If you are not comfortable explaining YOUR point of view, that's fine, I respect that.
  4. The biggest change I'd like to see made is cap hits no longer averaged over the life of the contract. If a player is paid 15 mil in the first year, 8 mil in the 2nd year, and 4 mil the 3rd year, then the cap hit should reflect that, not a cap hit of 9 mil x 3 years.
  5. Hopefully. I don't know about anybody else, but I'm firmly on the owners side.
  6. Nothing is set on the back line right now. Klinsman has different pairings back there every game, I think he's trying to find the right chemistry. Good luck to your country, I hope they advance.
  7. I respect your opinion. I also disagree with it. Just because she has buttons does not mean she has no accountability for her actions. Just my opinion. We don't have to agree, let's move on.
  8. Your right, it is assumptive. I have no way to know if you first tried to address it through PM, email or some other means. Since you brought it up, did you?
  9. From left to right in front of Howard it went cherundalo, bocanegra, Cameron and Johnson. Cameron is going to be a stud. How's things looking for norway?
  10. Look, I'm not trying to dump on you, you drew a parallel and I'm curious how you got there. If you want we can discuss it off line. Or if you want to drop it, that's cool too.
  11. Fine, moving on, I'd still like tepponator to explain the parallel between today's US and the former soviet union. If I can understand where he's going with it, I might agree with him.
  12. Thanks for the info on Bradley. Cherondolo does not stick out to me at all, I guess in that sense I do overlook him. I don't see him being around for the next world cup though, assuming we make it.
  13. Don't apologize. We've seen much worse around here without that happening. I'm you would have taken it off line had you been asked. Or warned. Or anything.
  14. Nice to see them pick up the win. Anyone know how long Bradley will be out? Different team without him.
  15. So, a couple posters have a tiff and we shut down a thread? That's how it works now? Nevermind the intelligent discussion over the past couple days from a half dozen posters, just shut the thread down! Really? That was the only recourse? Couldn't think of ANY other way to resolve the issue? Just shut down the thread? Are you freakin kidding me? Pitiful! Oh, yeah, I think the sabres are much better off today than four years ago. The D is stocked and the future looks bright at center, we are definately heading in the right direction.
  16. This is sound advice, not everything over the counter is good for you. Last deployment I was introduced to Jacked3d. It was by far the best supplement I've ever taken and the results were incredible. I'd take three scoops before working out and my body would get a "buzzing" feeling. My profile pic is about five months into Jacked3d, I had a 58" chest and a 34" waist and my bench went from 285 to 405. I attribute probably at least 50% of the increase to the supplement. It turns out there was something in it that made it unsafe and the army banned it, and I believe sometime later it was pulled out of stores all together. A couple things to keep in mind, there are different kind of workouts based on what results you want. Think of the guys you see in strongest man competitions on TV. They are strong as an ox, but shaped like a barrel. They are much stronger than the guys you see in the muscle magazines, but their physiques are no where near as good. One of my good friends has that muscle mag body, what he does is he works one muscle group one day a week. He completely shreds the muscle for about two hours and does a different group every day, but he has an incredible physique. I work chest, back and shoulders one day, arms and legs the 2nd day, 3rd day I alternate between core exercises, cardio and rest. I'm much stronger than my friend, but my physique is nowhere near as good ad his. If your goal is to get real thick in the chest be careful, if you gain, I don't know, say six inches in your pecs, they will never shrink back to where they used to be. If you don't maintain and get lazy, you will end up with tits.
  17. How do you draw a parallel from the former soviet union to the US based on that article?
  18. Fwiw, the predators are thriving in Nashville. A few years ago I could walk up to a scalper 15 minutes before face off and buy $80 tickets for $30. Last year those same tickets would cost $100-120. There's a demand for the tickets now that exceeds supply, fans are pumped about thier team and hockey continues to grow in middle Tennessee. When posters throw out examples of southern market teams that aren't working, they need to leave the Preds out of it.
  19. Is it possible the Canadian teams could secede from the NHL and form thier own Canadian Professional Hockey League. Maybe add teams in Quebec, a 2nd in Toronto and Hamilton, giving them a 10 team league that could compete with the NHL? If it is possible, would anyone like to see it happen?
  20. Don't know about the back. It's for joints, so I'm skeptical.
  21. It's awesome. Before I started taking it I was in constant pain and wore knee braces to run. About 3-4 weeks after I started taking it I was pain free, and have remained so for about three years now. Of course, as I said up thread I've been yo-yoing between 185 & 230 for a decade. I'm guessing the added pounds was a factor too.
  22. Is it the additional costs such as that that make it difficult to branch out on yOur own? In the long run, is it worth it?
  23. I don't dispute the fact that it's true, but I think the why is an important variable that directly impacts the result and should not be overlooked.
  24. Free we Free weights - high weight, low reps. Take a weight gain supplement(tru-mass, mass-tech or some equivalent).
