SF Giants since I was born practically My Papa was from NJ and was a big NY Giants fan back then and when they moved to California his fandom followed. (He moved to Buffalo in his 20's) My Dad as such is a huge Giants fan. I therefore follow them in loving the Giants.

I honestly think if Karmanos makes it to the final group the Sabres might have Adams move up to POHO while effectively running the same way. Karmanos gets a raise and title, Ventura gets a raise and title. Sabres stave off losing our analytics department

Interestingly enough one of the analytics guys on Twitter said the Sabres were rumored to have wanted Swayman in the Hall trade originally. But Hall’s unwillingness to play ball and his mediocre at best season killed that. If that is true, it definitely changes how we think Adams views goaltending to a degree.

I honestly hope someday we can get a guy who needed a change of scenery to be great. Perhaps we do already with Tuch..... Eichel's success infuriates me, but I also honestly think the drama and the new scenery made him grow up. You can just see how much more mature he looks game to game; he doesn't mope around or look disinterested every other shift. It effectively makes me unsure how to see him going forward in the playoffs. Essentially I know that he'd of likely never achieved this maturity with Buffalo regardless of if we got better with him or not. Unlike when ROR left for St.L, I genuinely think present Eichel was never in the cards here as he is growing up finally. I think last season finally humbled him and the many vets on the team effectively put him in his place.

To be frank I can’t stand this Rick Westhead guy; he’s an overly sensitive media man who looks to crucify anything deemed not PC. To be honest as interesting as this study was it doesn’t exactly give anything new. It doesn’t take a doctor to understand the more trauma you get the more likely you are to die younger than someone with less physical trauma. I understand the concern for player health but there are going to be downsides to making millions of dollars. People like Rick want fighting banned; then they’ll go after hitting in general since it too causes trauma and injuries. Next thing you know they look like women’s leagues and they let women into the NHL since they no longer have to fear being hip checked into the next county. It honestly scares me that we’ll have an unrecognizable sport where it’s purely based on skill and speed where players make 30mil a year but rarely get any drawback from it since all bodily harm is made illegal. *rant over*

If Philly doesn’t want Reinbacher I’d at very least offer them back their 2nd and 13 for 7. Doubt it would work but Philly needs picks desperately. Plus it would keep the Risto trade going lol

Eh… I can’t fully agree with you due to the general results. It truly comes down to what makes one happy or entertained. Sure the Leafs have had multiple playoff berths in the past 11 years; but their team has without fail, found new embarrassing ways to end their seasons. The goal is to win the Stanley Cup or “die” trying. The Sabres this year can truly feel successful because they went down fighting tooth and nail with the youngest roster in the league. The Sabres and Leafs have a combined 1 series win since 2008. We have also more recently made the Conference Finals and Cup Finals than the Leafs. I guess the biggest difference is our pre-season hype is never anywhere near where Toronto has been and we haven’t choked playoff runs away since we haven’t even made it that far. I guess it comes down to, is it better to have an A+ expectation with a B- result or a C expectation with a C- result?

IF Girgensons leaves Olofsson for Foegele on Edmonton with Edmonton letting us move back into the 2nd round again seems both fair and gives us a seasoned player for the Bot 6. If Girgensons stays I'd look more for a pick trade for Olofsson I did 13, Jokiharju and UPL for Hellebuyck and DeMelo; Hellebuyck gets an extension of 2 years and that would give Levi 3 years to work his way from 1B to 1A and keeps him from having the entire season's hopes and dreams riding on him. DeMelo is a means to an ends to but a more defensive skewed seasoned player with Power. For my extras I have Rousek and N. Foligno (young gun and a former captain) with Stillman as our 7th which gives us a solid 7.

Add DeMelo to the trade and I'd be interested as long as Reinbacher doesn't fall to 13. 13, UPL, and Jokiharju for 1 year deals on Hellebuyck and DeMelo seems fair.

Carolina in Buffalo’s situation would be a ghost town. Though honestly their fan base has certainly grown over the years. Most of us Sabres fans however only see Sabres games with the Canes in which Buffalo transplants take over a good portion of the crowd. Their fans are the primary reason for most. Media bias also furthers the issues. I always look at the Leafs as having fans that think they are the Patriots but their team is usually the Lions and yet they still get mass coverage by the hockey media and their fans continue their obnoxious behavior

To be honest it is a ***** Top 3 Karlsson sure Makar played 60 games and had 66 pts but again only played 60 games Fox is even more egregious since he averaged .06 ppg less than Dahlin whom had 1 more point than Fox in 4 less games.
