For all we know its a round shaped gum container or candies.

He actually does well with Peters when KS is off.

To be honest small tweaks are all I want. The primary reason I hate NBA basketball is because it's just continuous scoring with little D. I like hockey games that are 3-2 4-3 not 10-9 because it makes goals deflated in its value.
-
As did I, I read it as Bylsma sees Girgs as his Jordan Staal-esc player and that without him he loses that lockdown shutdown Center that frees up a top 2 line.

Seriously? They'd need to throw in a pick at least to get the great Cola!

Without a system we are nothing -
Upon capture they'd be considered traitors but would receive the proper judicial process. If they are fighting with the enemy then they are enemy combatants and need to be dealt with accordingly.

The third was why I was disappointed, they outplayed SJS in the 3rd thus I was sad to see them not do the same in the OT. -

I'm utterly disappointed but at least we got a point. Every point counts in the long run after all. -

LBI, that really sucks. At least the Sabres won so you guys could still enjoy that. Get better. -

GFJ Sabres! Not only was it fun to watch but Eichel put on a show. There was a play in the third where he found a loose puck and fought off Stamkos to get a shot on. This kid is special! Risto +1 Goal Eichel +1 Goal Franson +1 Goal Foligno +1Goal = WIN! -
Gorges-Risto McCabe-Franson Pysyk-Bogo for the first few games then I'd swap Franson and Bogo. Additionally if McCabe continues his trend I'd start having Gorges and him start sharing time with Risto. For instance using McCabe in the offensive zone more often.

I refuse to trade my #1 this year, mainly because of the Draft being in Buffalo

How long did it take us last year to get to 6 wins? 4 Regulation wins?

Miss the guy, after he retires. I hope he visits Buffalo from time to time. In my opinion Ennis's woes are due to him finding his identity on this team. The last two years he was looked on to pretty much carry the offense and had little assistance in doing so. So he'd possess the puck out of necessity since unless Girgs or Moulson were open he had few options he could count on. Suddenly he can pass it to almost anyone, thus he feels required to pass more. He just needs to find that niche between over possessing the puck and trying to force the play too much. Gionta had 17min on the ice, looked far better because of it, he's older so he can't play the bigger minutes anymore but give him 15 or so a game and I think he'll wake up like how he did last year.

Weber wasn't bad today, likely a combination of it being the Vet's Day game and playing 13:33 but I'll take it. Eichel 2As Risto 2Gs Rough game, but they pushed through and got the win. That's something we need to see going forward :)

Ennis fits he's just starting off slow, give it a couple months. Larsson is a conundrum since he's ineffective as a 3rd / 4th liner and not quite skilled enough for the top 2 lines. Gionta needs to have 3rd/4th line minutes, he seems to need time before he starts playing any better
-
Yeichel, Jack Eichel!
-
Why is Larsson and Gionta out there over Girgs and likely a better forward Delauriers. Someone needs to tell Bylsma to try Moulson with Eichel.

McDavid breaks collarbone. Out "Long Term"
thewookie1 replied to dejeanneret's topic in The Aud Club
I agree with pretty much everything you just said, however I'd get jolly when an opposing team's injury helps us just like I'm sad when ours hurt us. Just because its part of the game doesn't mean there is a gag order on any emotion. -
McDavid breaks collarbone. Out "Long Term"
thewookie1 replied to dejeanneret's topic in The Aud Club
This is what makes a player a champion, the willingness to do nearly anything to win it all. They play through injuries for that very reason. Wishing harm to your opponent is different than enjoying the following problems it causes the team. Carolina doesn't win the Cup if we still had our starters in at D. And you don't hear them complaining or regretting not beating Buffalo at full strength. And don't tell me that Boychuck's hit on Vanek in the 2010? Playoffs was anything but purposeful injuring. I hate the targeting of players, unless they have legit reason to be, but if it was not intentional I'm not going to cry about the other team being worse. You seem to make purposeful injury creation equivalent to merely taking advantage of another's bad luck. -

I would... but only in the playoffs and with the injuries being rather small and with no long term consequences. -

thewookie1 replied to dejeanneret's topic in The Aud Club
I want McDavid to suceed but not Edmonton, so I hope the injury doesn't hurt him in the long term but I'm happy it will hurt the Oilers. And I'll be honest, if it takes every non-Sabre super star being injured for us to get a Cup then so be it.... I just want a Cup and couldn't care less how we achieve it. After we have 1 I'd join the camp of beating the best to prove your the best as being the ideal scenario. However at this point I just want a Cup. Same thing goes with the Bills. -

Luke better not be the bad guy, that'd be quite the disappointment.
