  1. The ceremony, then warm ups and then the game. My guess is that after RJ night went over it’s time that the NHL wasn’t exactly happy with the idea of having another situation akin to that arise.
  2. If Lucic’s hit occurred today it would depend who was on the ice. Guys like Tuch or Jost would go after Lucic to fight. Dahlin, Muel, Bush and guys akin to that would certainly legitimately scrum. Not just bear hug him, like Gaustad did. Mitts and Krebs would depend on the day if their feistiness was enough at that point to mix it up.
  3. Yes of course; not sure why he wouldn't like it here though
  4. He has zero protections
  5. If there's one theoretically available player I'd be interested in, it's Sam Bennett. He's a physical LW/C who's never been a prolific scorer, besides last year, but plays with that reckless abandon our team lacks.
  6. A game they needed to win and they outright blew it. I wish they’d stop with dipstick doodling and just crash the net. Well they better have been saving their energy for the Miller game Thursday night
  7. We just cannot close out games; unsure as exactly why but it seems as if no matter how much momentum or energy we have we always somehow alway blow the lead.
  8. Well their goal scorer literally had his stick in Dahlin’s hands for 3 seconds until he made him lose the puck
  9. He dared to complain about being hooked
  10. Is it the pucks or the ice that would cause the puck to stick to the ice the way it has tonight?
  11. Tage looks jumpy since his All-Star birth
  12. I think 8 years will cost under 11mil unless he gets the Norris 8x10.75 would be a very fair offer. That's a tad over 12.5% of an 85mil cap ceiling.
  13. Barring him winning the Norris I don’t see it. Karlsson is the lone 12.5 mil man on D and no one else even approaches that within 2 mil. Dahlin’s side may want Karlsson money but Fox’s AAV will pull him down a bit. He’s 7x9.5
  14. My guess is that he’s taking over more of the financial/business aspects since Kim seems to no longer be doing so.
  15. Dahlin at minimum gets 9.9mil in the event he’s superstitious about the whole winning the Stanley Cup thing
  16. One easy fix would be to make one of their children interested in the team a minority owner and use that to help circumvent inheritance taxes
  17. Nope, ELC is still all they can sign. It's 2 years instead of 3 I believe but only the original team can burn a 3rd year to give the player some money.
  18. I wish these guys would retain play from game to game because we’d win against Florida tomorrow. They are all just too slow on the uptick against the more physical/defensive teams
  19. For now we wait until one shakes down to a 2nd and a 5th. I wouldn’t trade our 1st for any of them at this point.
  20. Sometimes you just take the powerplay if it wasn’t clearly malicious. UPL played it up a bit and was outside the crease. This wasn’t Smith going well into the crease and plastering UPL into the net. One must know when to fight your battles and that wasn’t one of them. More blatant attacks on the goalie have been reacted to pretty well this year
  21. Great road win! the kids are back
  22. The culture part was nigh instantaneous due to the circumstances. Akin to Vegas; when you bring together a myriad of players who were deemed expendable and are typically 2nd/3rd line guys; your team will adopt a feisty and dogged image as a result. All expansion teams have this “us against the world” mentality only Vegas and Seattle were actually given legitimate leftovers whereas in the past they received only literal scraps. You also get a degree of what we have got with Jost this year. A player whom feels either betrayed or fearful for their career and with their back against the wall will tend to play with an extra level of tenacity. Vegas’s Karlsson is a good example of this. He exploded out of nowhere his first couple years before returning to a far lesser state more akin to what he truly is. Lastly, Seattle got extremely lucky in net with Jones this thus far. Both of their big goalie gets last year were atrocious and only this year have given even a semblance of stability. Jones was God awful his past 4 years and seemingly found himself again this year; but there’s no guarantee he’ll keep it up through the year and into the future.
  23. More supported by their play’s improvement when sellouts occur and they get a jump on the opposing team early. They seem to just fly when the crowd and team are clicking
  24. My guess is that offensively they try to be overly fancy to impress the fans where as on the road they are far more willing to do anything in order to score.
