  1. Stop the video at 50ish seconds into it. Scott is on the redline already headed toward the puck carrier and Loui is receiving the puck at the blue line. Scott is in front of the play, the only reason that Loui didnt see him is that his head is down.
  2. That hit is no worse than the dubinsky hit. Scott and Dubinsky were both in front of their target even if scott was coming from the right he was at the redline when Loui was at the Blue line. Both hits are predatory, if you have a problem with that I can understand that but neither is wrong. When you have a player lined up and he has his head down you tee off on him, I would say that Scott held back while Dubinsky clearly puts his momentum into the guy doing that little jump or shift in weight up at the end. To me growing up playing and watching hockey is a good hit. You wanted to do that from the first practice where we were allowed to hit, I dreamed of puck carriers carrying the puck with their heads down through the neutral zone and after becoming a defensemen the same can be said about puck carriers entering my zone. For these types of hits the responsibility lies with the puck carrier. If you are going to put yourself in that position you should expect that a hit is coming.
  3. He hit him straight down the center of his body. He was coming from in front of Loui, you sound like you want to say it is a blindside hit when it most definitely was not.
  4. You are crazy, Scott was not coming from the side in the least. He was nearly head on with Loui. In both hits the entire upperbodies of the hitter meet with the player taking the brunt of the hit in the chest with head contact in both. The head was not the principal point of contact in either hit. The main difference in the hits is that Loui didnt look up and realize he was about to take a hit while Koivu did at the last second. This hits are very very similar and neither is suspension worthy.
  5. That hit was nearly identical to the Scott hit except koivu picked his head up in time to prepare for it.
  6. Why not just include all of last year, he has 7 goals in the last 57 games.....
  7. Torey Krug is 5'9'' and 180 lbs. Stafford has 5 inches and over 30 pounds on the guy and still got outworked.
  8. Hahaha this was started in 2011
  9. Professional Hockey Hell/ Amateur Hockey Heaven :(
  10. Have you seen this team this year? He should feel like he needs to fire everyone up.
  11. It is so hard to tell in that video how he hit him but I dont htink he deserves 10 games. Also good fight and he really caught Boll with one of those punches. I am glad he fought.
  12. It was identified which is why they brought in Leinart and Lewis when Kolb was out. I think that Lewis wasnt backing up EJ because he was still learning the playbook and now that he knows it he is moving into the backup role.
  13. Finding a job. Anyone need an intelligence analyst with 6 years of experience and a Bachelors degree? Starting an MBA in IT management in November and working on a CISSP...... Let me know lol
  14. The military does almost nothing to help people transitioning to civilian life. Not to metion all of these people with Support our Troops stickers who think that fulfills the obligation stated on the sticker. Also it sucks being active duty enlisted.
  15. After reading this argument, I will have to agree with both sides. However, I dont think the Sabres have really drafted many big bodied power forward goal scorers, for the simple fact they are incredibly rare and hard to come by. Stafford def fits the bill and has flourished and struggled under Ruff. He isnt physically dominant but he isnt small either. We had two on the roster last year for some time in Kassian and Foligno, Foligno looked a lot better last year and I think he is going to be a stud. Kassian was unfortuneately traded for what we though was a 1st line center. Cody has played like a great first line center so far this year and he is still young. I would say that is harded to come by than Kassian is, especially when we have a guy on the roster who I believe can do it better in Foligno. Time will tell but I dont see any power forward that lindy has runined over the years, Pyatt hasnt done anything he didnt do here. Macarthur definately blossomed into a good second line player, and everyone saw flashes of that here, however we had and still have guys liek that. I think Ennis will be that soon enough and supposedly clark didnt get along with the locker room or coach. Lindy and his system have not ruined anyone, no one has really come in and lit the world on fire either but Vanek has to be one of the top goal scorers over the last 5-7 years right? What is he like #7? I dont know how to find that info but I will try.
  16. So we are still doing that thing where everyone says Lindy is brainwashing good hockey players and turning them into useless spineless backcheckers? Its good to be back lol
