I was near the front row ar a Metallica concert years ago, Saint Anger tour, godsmack opened, think it was in Hamilton, and a guy right up against the fence just takes it out while facing the stage between bands and pisses all over the floor right there. Then just continues on like nothing. Last show I saw in the Lawn Seats anywhere was Dave Matthew's, stopped buying lawn seats when I saw multiple people (men and women) just pissing where they were out there. Never saw anything bad at a Sabres game in the crowd. Bill's on the other hand, plenty of passed out drunks or drunks puking or hassling and trying to pick fights with opposing teams fans. Had 2 younger drunks stumbling around the lots pre game pushing and wrestling each other, even throwing each other at and on cars. When they got near us one wanted to fight my friend for wearing a TO Cowboys Jersey until his drunk buddy reasoned with him that it was ok cause at the time, TO was a Bill. They then proceeded to wander away throwing each other around and into parked cars.

No wonder the Sabres won that game, it would have been horrible to see them lose to just Kariya....... Although theres a strong chance Kariya by himself could have beat them last year.....

Subconciously, while watching the game you probably ate more then you thought just so you wouldn't have to watch it all. Either that or your reaction wasnt actually from the crab but from the product on the ice you watched.

Usually your points valid, but this just looked like a continuation of last year. Many wouldn't care about a loss if the at least looked like they were getting g better. We have seen this show before.....

I have said it before that I get the feeling Eichel will be one of those good to very good players in the league, but not the elite type guy everyone expected. And I never understood the fans jumping on making him captain just because of how and when he was drafted. I cant really recall any leadership traits or abilities shown by him to this point. Just because the player is skilled, doesnt mean they are also a good leader.

As nice as it would be to have one of those players who steps in on day one and dominates or looks the part of a super star, it doesn't always happen and even some of the best take time to develop. Defenceman, especially ones who arent offensive defensemen are not guys you can typically look at in one game, or on the score sheet and be wowed by them . Cant really be down on Dahlin until at least 1/4 to 1/2 a season if he doesnt look like he's having an impact. Only took TPs other franchise til there second home game for below face resale prices......

It's not just post game, all Interviews are like that. If a player spots cliches and stuff the fans hate it, if they tell the truth the fans also find it a problem and the player is a malcontent or cancer...

Whether they had the practice or not, no one can say if it really would have made a difference or not tonight. They looked much worse then just needing a few extra hours of practice....

From the interviews after the game, sounds more like no one informed the Caps about the Code cause their reaction was questioning how much he should be suspended for it considering they are waiting for a teammate to get back from his 20 game suspension. Maybe his hit was also because the Blues player violated the Code?
