Not sure if it was my parents or maybe I was just a brilliant enlightened child😉but from a very early age I knew that bullying or picking on developmentally challenged individuals was wrong on so many levels. That and any form of racism was just not tolerated in any way. Full stop. So for a kid at 14 or 15 to claim that he just didn’t know any better is crap. I knew better at 5. Whats his excuse ? I do believe that people are capable of change and can improve their behaviour . He may still develop into an upstanding young man.

Basically what I was trying to say upthread. You want the guys that want to kill those ‘useless’ tests and come out on top . What you don’t want are the guys that go through the motions. If you can recognize the good or bad traits in the kids at that point you’d better use that knowledge to weed out the ones that will haunt you later.

No I wasn’t discounting what you said but looking at it beyond the pullups themselves the players that do use it to motivate themselves are probably the type of guys that have the intangibles that Casey may not have. Who knows Casey may surprise everyone yet. I certainly hope so.

If you go into a combine knowing you are going to be asked to do a pull up you either ignore it because it proves nothing or you take it as a personal challenge and you make damn sure that you show prospective teams that you have drive and ambition and set goals and practice til you get it. You don’t go through the motions. You power through just like you will if you’re picked. Thats what guys who don’t take the pull up challenge seriously like Casey prove. That they have none of that special ‘ it ‘ factor that some guys have.

The past is gone. Leave it go. This team is either living in the past or in the future. If we could get to a place where we are living in the moment we might actually get somewhere.

Of the two players Hall has had some injury probs and he is approaching 30. I kind of wish long term was considered 4-5 years.

Face it it sucks but The Buffalo org. Has a rep. Throughout the league and with the players and its not good. It could take years to undo the damage that has been done. And then they hire a G.M. With virtually no experience. And there’s rumblings the star player may want out if things don’t improve. And the media shows the war room and taking up space are the owners who rightly or wrongly have a rep for meddling. I could go on but you’ve heard it all before. People don’t want to hitch their horse to a loser franchise. It sucks but it puts us behind almost every team in the league destination wise. Heck Detroit and Ottawa will pull out of their tailspins before us. We suck. ok rant over. Sorry GA but its been a bad day and there’s been literally no good news for this team. I’m hopefull KA will pull a rabbit out of a hat but I also highly doubt it.
