This wouldn't be the only team that takes diet and nutrition seriously. The Canucks monitor the players diets as well as their sleep patterns. I'm sure most teams do. You've got to gain any advantage you can if you want to win in this league. I'm ok with it.

Last game. I think I may have missed maybe 1 or 2 games all season due to work or prior commitments. My wife calls me a glutton for punishment. I suppose for someone who isn't a diehard like her its difficult to understand.

Thats why it was so important to jettison Regier and bring in a new philosophy. Its starting to change slowly as we draft players with size, grit and talent near the top of the draft. A guy I work with has a son thats paralyzed and plays wheel chair basketball in a league. The father and a couple of his brothers play as well. Each team is allowed to carry a certain amount of able bodied people since there really isn't an unfair advantage for the able bodied. Maybe at the grass league level similar rules apply for sled hockey ?

The problem is most of the guys that do work hard are talentless pugs.

Nolan has most of these guys playing hard. The floaters and the guys who don't go to the dirty areas will hopefully be gone soon. Thats on management to get that fixed. Nolan can't fix that.

Because the Amerks will miss him ( and I remain hopeful ) its because he'll hurt the tank. But more than likely he'll help the tank.

This really doesn't surprise me at all. Any chance this league has to screw the Sabres they'll take it. I'd rather lose the pick to an expansion franchise than to see someone like Philly or Boston or anyone non deserving as Shrader puts it get that kid. But the Sabres or another team with a general suckitude in line with the Sabres shouldn't be screwed out of that pick simply because that year happens to have a generational talent. Its bush league to change the rules for that reason.
