Just got home. Did I miss something ? Always the bridesmaid Buffalo. What happened today reminded me about the McDavid draft lottery debacle and how Murray let his emotions rule his statement following the lottery. Why can't we take our lumps and move on. Babcock would have been a coup but we don't need him and we can move on without him. We'll be fine. I haven't read this thread as I do have to work when I'm there but I'll catch up over the next hour and reserve judgement. Has Murray spoken publicly ? Do we think some kind of deal was in place. Did Babs use us to leverage the deal he got in Toronta ? Did he ever intend to grace us with his presence ? These are all questions that I have.

Dean Potter famous climber, slackliner, wingsuit basejumper and all around extreme athlete died this past weekend flying the wingsuit in Yosemite along with a buddy. Thats 2 more wingsuit deaths to make it an even 50 in the last 18 months worldwide. These guys know the risks and Potter was vocal about that essentially saying we are all on borrowed time. There are some good videos on youtube involving Potter and what he had to say about the sport as well as climbing and slacklining.

I was just wondering what others thought about that. Usually more often than not the anthem has a stirring or powerful rendition at sporting events but tonight it was just different. As far as the game goes imo this has been terrific. Hoping Tampa can take this one.

I'm thinking in this tournament the young squad the Americans sent is maybe a little out of their element but this sets the U.S. up nicely going forward in the Olympics and other World tournaments with the experience the kids will gain from this one.

Godds take on it is where I'm at. Imo Eichel will have instant chemistry with most people he plays with simply because he will elevate other players abilities and essentially make them better. Cripes, even at a beer leagues level when I played with great players the difference in my game was profound. Lets not forget that if we draft this kid there are good to great players on the Sabres squad or in this system that he will have instant chemistry with.

this is a good take. I found their games boring compared to some of the other series so honestly I watched 3, maybe 4 of their games so far. I'll prolly try to watch all of the eastern final and western final regardless of style of play. It just ramps up from here on in.
