  1. I'm excited to have Eichel as I knew Buffalo wasn't going to win some stupid lottery. Yes McDavid is going to be a great player but Eichel is pretty darn good is his own right. To me it was a win win. That's why I wanted to finish 30th so bad because at least you guarntee yourself a great player. How u think Arizona feels being the second worst team picking 3 and missing out on both of them. I don't see them drafting Hanifan as I believe it will be Marner or Strome. The draft lottery is a huge failure in my mind. No way Edmonton should get another first overall pick as the same with the Cavs last year in basketball. Just plain stupid.
  2. That's what I thought too at one time. You need to pay attention to him. He does everything really well and reads the play. When I watched him in Anaheim and Los Angeles this season I thought he was the most complete player on the Sabres.
  3. Just think this team had issues scoring last year. Now Add in Kane, Eichel and Reinhart and you add speed, smarts, and creativity which makes the other players around them better.
  4. I excited to get Jack as well. We have a mini team usa right now. Eichel I believe is ready for the pro game. He's a strong kid and will only get stronger. I'm excited for the draft and what other moves Murray has planned. And no I don't want O'Reilly. I'm not trading a ton of players for him.
  5. Edmonton, they had enough top picks. I would have rather had Arizona get McDavid. A player of his caliber could help that team and fan base. I'm in Las Vegas and Arizona has a nice arena but really needs a jolt of offense. Growing the game out West is good for hockey.
  6. I like what someone else put for Eichel. Called it New Jack City! Buffalo. I'm more than thrilled with Eichel.
  7. I agree with u and have been saying this in previous posts. I knew we weren't winning the lottery. It's up because a team like Arizona could use a top offensive player and will miss out because of a flawed system. I'm a believer that the worst team picks first just like the NFL. Players aren't throwing games.
  8. One thing I like about Jack is that he's a work out freak and is a super strong kid. I'm excited to see what other moves Murray has planned. We still have the other first rounder and the first pick in the second round. Where does Grigs fit in. I'm hoping he continues to workout hard and works on his skating.
  9. I agree. Organizations rebuild but these days players and coaches aren't throwing games, maybe back in the 80's when Pittsburgh did it but not anymore. We have a mini-team usa. Eichel, Compher, Fasching, and McCabe.
  10. Draft lotteries are stupid. Best league in the world doesn't use it. Players and coaches aren't throwing games on purpose.
  11. I'm kinda wondering if this organization is so set on McDavid that they would flip-flop picks with Buffalo throwing in players. I highly doubt it happens but u never know.
  12. It's not just the GM. You have to have scouts with a keen eye.
  13. Sounds like the Cleveland Cavs. Draft Lotteries are a joke.
  14. I'm happy with Eichel since that's who I knew we would get.
  15. I agree. I knew we weren't getting number 1. The draft lottery is stupid. I agree with Murray worst picks first.
  16. Really Edmonton of all teams. A team that has mis-managed team in the league. This looks like the Cavs with all those lottery wins.
  17. Exactly. He would help hockey out west.
  18. No to Dallas. I said this before and will keep saying it. If we lose the lottery I would much rather him go to Arizona. He would help that market and give those fans a great player. Plus they need a player like that there to sell tickets. Hope it doesn't happen but if he has to go to another team that's where I would rather see him go!
  19. Me too. I just believe the worst teams should get the top picks. Not teams on the playoff bubble or a Stanley Cup winning team that had a ton of injuries to key people and a defenseman that couldn't control himself from hitting his woman. How is that fair to teams in total rebuild mode?
  20. I know and it's not fair that way. Organizations going thru major rebuilds shouldnt be punished because they are going a different direction. The players and coaches aren't throwing games on purpose. Think about this why did Darcy start the whole rebuild process to begin with. Unfortunately this is what happens when your so called core group isn't good enough to compete for the cup. They had their chance and didn't get it done and they were on the down swing. So they(the organization) decided to let him tear it down and start over. Most teams don't do a total rebuild. So u should be punished for the team supposedly tanking. If the league found out that the teams were throwing games or suspected more than that behind the scenes the team would be punished.
  21. I'm sorry but McDavid should be with Buffalo and Eichel to Arizona. Two worst teams get the two best players just like the NFL Draft. Im sick of this lottery crap. Putting the fans thru bad seasons is punishment enough. Yes GM's can trade and move players up and down but the players and coaches aren't throwing games on purpose. These last two seasons have been far the worst I can remember. I was totally not motivated to watch this team. I not a fan of this draft lottery at all. NFL doesn't use it and it's the best league of all the major sports. I would be pissed if team 10-14 got McDavid. Defeats the whole purpose of the worst team getting the best player. Like I said in a previous posts maybe in the 80's the teams threw games but not in the present day. Players are playing hard and coaches are coaching to keep their job. Most of the tank talk is about an organization doing a major rebuild up and down the roster, coaches, GM's and scouts. Putting the fans thru that is hard enough but what could possibly make it worse is a team that just barely missed the playoffs by getting the best player. To me that's not fair.
  22. I feel bad at what happened with Nolan. He was setup to fail by given to work with. Plus the front office didn't want to be better standing wise. I think his being fired because some of the younger core didn't make bigger strides and then Cody got actually worse.
  23. What if he decides he wants to stay before the draft and we pick second. Does Murray change who he picks? He's been scouting this Erie-London series and u also have Strome and Marner. I hope that doesn't happen but hey u never know. I still want McDavid.
