I'm no roslovic expert...but my understanding is his D is awful. Do we really want to add that to 'this' roster? I believe Adams is done and this is the team.....unfortunately

Trading is one option, but GM'S cannot be so risk averse when it comes to signing 30+ year old Dmen. Something Adams could have done over the last 3 offseasons

Not sure anything more than a 2nd round pick and a B prospect is worth it for this guy. Worth a flyer...but this isn't a guy you trade anything significant for....especially Benson. Id revolt

This is great news! Now everyone, hear me out. I've got an idea... First, we start simple...we go back in time. Then, we let Benson play in the minors one more year knowing we can get him to Rochester the following year. Then...we bring him up this year...and he's ready for his first taste of NHL action and competes for rookie of the year. I think this can work.

I'm not concerned with him...if he is playing limited minutes. I'd prefer we keep the search for a C that can put up better than legit numbers as a 2C. I like him...there are better options and more opportune ways to utilize him.

I don't pay much mind to where McLeod finished in points for a forward last year. Being top 50 doesn't mean you're top 50. On this sabres lineup with the issues at C...someone had to get minutes. Thus, someone had to get points. I like him. But I like him more getting 15 minutes a night....tops

It's a fine contract for him.......BUT.....that would give the sabres one the most expensive d corps in the league....AND...they are not even particularly a good group. It's such a frustrating position to be in.

He hit w Tage...thank God. But the strat unfortunately failed. That's too low a batting average when it comes to signing your own (although he gets a pass on Skinner...that was pegulas blunder. I believe the rumors that botteril was not high on doing it)

We have a two page thread dedicated to a defenceman making 775k for 3 years who is going to probably play in Rochester next year. Our team blows.

It's awful. Power, awful contract. Cozens, awful contract. Samuelson, awful contract. UPL, mildly awful contract. Norris, awful contract to take on. Skinner buyout/original contract was awful. None of the things I mentioned above are considered hindsight opinions by many. Not a single contract I mentioned offered us high level impact. We suck.

Pretty sad that they are that close to the cap and they still suck big giant salty balls compared to the rest of the league. Our favorite team is a clown show.
