Thai is giving up way too much. Your 3rd line as listed would be the worst in the league. Playing Ruuostolainen on the top line is absurd. He will get blown up. This lineup will have us back in the lottery as you have actually reduced the number of top 6 forwards which we were lacking.

ROR was not handed to us GMTM gave up substantial resources to acquire him. We will have to give up significant assets but I think Calgary is planning on overhauling their roster.

Clearly Monahan is not as good as ROR. He is a 2C not a 1C. OTOH he’s the best option out there short of Cirelli. If we can get Monahan for #8 Montour and Mittlestadt I’d do it in a heartbeat.

There’s no way we’re getting Monahan without giving up #8 or Sam. Montour and Mitts hold little value.

I really don't like the idea of trading Sam. We have no need for Gadreau, but I would love Monahan as our 2C. I would trade Mitts, Montour and #8 for Monahan.

Tampa has no interest in anything other than picks and prospects and players on entry level deals. Even so you may be forced to accept a cap dump in return.. They have no interest in Reinhart or Montour. You will need to replace those with Ryan Johnson and Cozens and #8

Okposo was a very solid but overpaid 4th liner last year. Skinner was an overpaid and mediocre 2nd liner last year.

Skinner has a NTC and has 7 years at 9 million remaining. No one is taking that contract in this flat cap era. Okposo stats could easily be improved playing with Eichel much like Skinner's were and could be moved more easily than James Neal or Milan Lucic. Skinner currently has huge negative value.

Definitely true. You could more easily trade Okposo than Skinner.

Skinner has the worst contract in the league, Joker has potential, Cozens has proven nothing in NHL could easily be another Mitts or Nylander
