I believe this is Botterils backup plan to play Kahun at 2C. Johansson is a 3LW. I don’t see a legitimate 2C falling into his lap for Risto or Montour.

Is Botterill to blame for the Sabres Cap Troubles?

We don't need a president just a competent GM. -
Is Botterill to blame for the Sabres Cap Troubles?

The article omits that Skinner's contract is the worst in the league. Botteril is utterly and completely incompetent in all aspects of being a GM. -
This smacks of penny pinching By the owners. JBOT has been a colossal failure. They clearly didn’t want to pay a new GM and coach.

I doubt they would retain but I would do that trade straight up

Much less obesity and Diabetes than US. Also they didn’t have idiot governors sending covid positive patients back to nursing homes. This was largely responsible for the huge number of nursing home deaths.
-
I'm a bit concerned that Kahun is now our 2C in Botteril's mind.
-
He needs to play on the 3rd line with Johansson and Cousins.

Botteril has finally found his 2C. Problem solved

Domi has Type 1 diabetes. This puts him at higher risk for morbidity related to Covid. He’s undersized and I would rather trade them Montour instead of Risto.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch

When you add up all his rings, he will end up in the top 10 in NBA history for total rings. Enough said. -

The only significant flaw is that I dislike the bouncing around in time. I would have preferred a chronological historical documentary. -

I watched every Bulls game Kerr played with Jordan. He was no passenger. He was a deadly shooter FT and 3pt. He hit many key shots. Also his post Bulls career has surpassed Jordan’s. -
The risks to the players is minimal and besides no one is forcing them to play. Any player can refuse to play if they desire.
-
Injuries are key. We were among the healthiest teams in the league last season.

I hope they do this. The NFL draft was great and this will give us something to get excited about.

Sabres “salary cap space is a mirage” per Yerdon in Athletic

Mirtle does not take into account the cap penalty the sabres incurred for being over the cap nor the bonuses that Dahlin and Joker have already earned. -

Did you read the article? Yeldon uses figures from a website Evolve Hockey whose sole purpose is to project contracts and cap issues. If Dahlin ends up top 10 in assists he gets an additional 2 million bonus which reduces our cap as a penalty. He’s assuming the cap remains constant for the article. Thompson has to be in lineup as he can’t go to Rochester without passing waivers. -

That’s not what the facts say. Of course if they can trade Risto for a 2C on an entry level contract than you are correct, otherwise not possible. -

The situation is even worse if the season resumes and Dahlin hits his bonuses. Signing Reinhart to a bridge deal was another terrible Botteril error. Also the contract that Montour is projected to get is scary for a mediocre defensemen. That trade is also looking very bad given the cap implications. The fact that we are paying a penalty for being over the cap is the ultimate indictment of Botterils incompetence. -
Sabres “salary cap space is a mirage” per Yerdon in Athletic

In today’s Athletic Joe Yerdon wrote an article discussing Sabres cap situation. It’s not pretty. Unless we unload a big contract like Risto, or do a compliance buyout (unlikely) or trade an RFA due for a big contract we will have very little flexibility to add to our roster. We may not even be able to afford Johann Larson. -
There are no buyers out there, and they are not penny pinching. Penny pinching owners don't spend over the cap. Be thankful that Buffalo has a franchise. I live in Atlanta, a much bigger and wealthier city. We lost an NHL team twice. While the Pegulas are not perfect and have made many mistakes, I'm confident they will eventually get the right GM in place to make the Sabres winners.

Unfortunately the Bills Stadium Wall message board has really changed since its dramatic growth following the demise of the official BBMB. Growth has not been for the better.

Speculation: Small Market NHL Teams Could Fold, Sabres are one of them
freester replied to Theana745's topic in The Aud Club
I agree with everything in the video. The NHL is going to have to make major changes to its salary structure, otherwise some teams won’t survive. -

Vogl article in Athletic: Larry Quinn criticizes the Pegulas for executives firings. Quinn is pissed.
