  1. Yes, they’re playing in Sacramento, where I live. You probably don’t follow it like I do but the latest episode of the clown show was priceless. The agreement the A’s signed with Vegas had a clause where the A’s had to start building the stadium in 180 days. Before that deadline, the A’s held a fake groundbreaking where they rented a bunch of heavy machinery for the day for the photo op. What a bozo?! And they don’t force him to sell.
  2. I see 11 games in October but get your point of being home heavy. One positive of this past season was the good home record.
  3. Went thru this with my Oakland A’s. Somehow their A-hole owner convinced the other owners he was in a small market in a city in the SF Bay Area and continued to get revenue sharing until they saw he wasn’t spending any on the team. Then for some reason they started giving it to him again. Now, they’re playing in a Triple A stadium here in the Sacramento area rent free and they have the highest average ticket price in MLB. As bad as you guys may think Terry is, John Fisher is definitely one of the worst sports owners of all time.
  4. So, has Adams actually said he’s happy with the goaltenders?
  5. I’d rather trade Power and his contract and keep Byram.
  6. Anybody else look at the title and think Zay Jones?
  7. And a growing reputation of being cheap?
  8. The Zoom room with the team members was a decent idea but the execution was poor. The NBA & NFL do well with teams in their own war rooms, so I’m not sure the NHL needs to have them at the draft. It always seemed strange to me to have up to a dozen people climb up on the stage for one to make the selection.
  9. Five minutes per pick was really like 15.
  10. As others have said here, if you keep getting rid of players that don’t want to be on the team, it’ll be a revolving door and what do you have left?
  11. I’ve reviewed the video of that play. I did see Samuelson move into the post hit gathering and give someone a push. That’s more than you’d likely get out of Power. Nobody else on the ice did anything.
  12. I guess Adams’ ABC Internet service went down when he was trying to consult with his cronies on Zoom and the Utah GM wanted an answer.
  13. C’mon, they’re giving our Sabres 2 more chances to win enough games to qualify for the playoffs.
  14. Doesn’t Pegs have a friendship with at least one other NHL owner that would tell him Adams is not a good trader? A writer on NHL.com called the trade egregious. (Look it up, Thurman!)
  15. And Darcy Regier is watching and thinking ‘I’m glad someone else is the scapegoat now and they’ve forgotten about me”
  16. Well, I think the Pro Football Hall of Very Good goes too far the other way. If you don’t make it, the 1st, 2nd, 3td…..time, just wait, you’ll get in eventually. You even get another shot with the veteran’s committee. I don’t understand their logic in having a set number (5?) to elect in each year. Is it all about having a big crowd? Major kudos to the Baseball Hall of Fame, who in recent years have voted in nobody.
  17. What are you talking about? He’s been the best overall forward. Plays great D, on penalty kill, scored 36 goals!!
  18. Yeah, any player saying he wants out so he can play in the playoffs is unacceptable to me. Figure out how to get your current team there.
  19. And if Adams isn’t thinking 5his way, he’s even dumber than we thought. If he’s not bringing back better players in trades, he’s filling out his own pink slip. If he trades his existing NHL players for more draft picks, those will be used by his successor, or his successor …
  20. The timing of the news he had died was eerie. I had just seen John Ratzenberger (Cliff Clavin) on a show (Poker Face) and wondered what George was doing. I also just watched White Men Can’t Jump (Woody Harrelson) the other day.
  21. Lanky? He’s listed at 226#, which is similar to Tage.
  22. Ate some bad wings?
