The Zoom room with the team members was a decent idea but the execution was poor. The NBA & NFL do well with teams in their own war rooms, so I’m not sure the NHL needs to have them at the draft. It always seemed strange to me to have up to a dozen people climb up on the stage for one to make the selection.

Well, I think the Pro Football Hall of Very Good goes too far the other way. If you don’t make it, the 1st, 2nd, 3td…..time, just wait, you’ll get in eventually. First of all, was he really the best pick of his draft? Second, what did management see in him to give him that big contract? I don’t see it. What I see is a big slow wuss, afraid of contact, with some offensive talent.
