  1. It's to gain Sam's trust. Get him to become the leader of the Sabres. If it doesn't work. He's free.
  2. Sam, not Jack, is the guy you try to coax to stick around. Make him a promise. Give it till trade deadline. Give Granato and the kids a training camp. If the Sabres are still floundering, Sam can pick his spot.
  3. KA is going to move Eichel quickly. Nothing to be gained if this lingers into training camp. Turn the page. It sounds like there is a market for Jack. The key is not getting hung up on no trade return being good enough. Grab the good deal. My old boss had a saying: "Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered."
  4. You would be to if you had to answer questions from Harrington and Ham-sammich every game day.
  5. I think the Bills pre-McBeane are a perfect example. There was a lack of accountability and commitment to excellence. Not to mention a number of players in it for themselves.
  6. Tell your boss how you really feel. Then let us know how he responds.
  7. No legit GM would answer those questions. Discussing hypothetical trades of your best player in a press conference?? Are you serious???
  8. Well what did you expect? 25-0 and a playoff berth? What's a reasonable expectation?
  9. It's more like asking questions to embarrass the speaker. They already have a story written. They just need that quote to be the centerpiece.
  10. You have to acknowledge what an amazing turnaround we saw that last month or so. The Sabres went from a team that was ready to give up to one that fought back to win games multiple times. And done with a roster half made up of AHL players. It's not lost on me the kids outplayed Hall and Staal while they were here.
  11. Not to mention asking really stupid questions like "how would you feel if you were the player?" He's the GM. He's got a team to run.
  12. It's amazing to me how professional journalists have such difficulty asking a clear question.
  13. It's time for the main event. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLEEEE!
  14. Buffalo media ignoring coaching questions with the team's coach to get Eichel takes. Few questions asked getting interesting responses.
  15. ADR, as it's known, is more common overseas. Just not here. There's also not a long list of elite athletes having an ADR procedure, so there isn't much study on how it affects performance.
  16. Artificial disc replacement is still an experimental procedure in the Untied States.
  17. Instigators just reported David Quinn, Jack Eichel's coach at BU, was just let go on by the Rangers. Curious timing.
  18. The Blue Jays have a "dynamic pricing" policy so get ready to fork it over for those Yankees tickets.
