  1. It's the only (legal) option.
  2. Everything is a question until they start to play, and then you never know if they will stay that way. That's the magic of life. It's full of mystery.
  3. They play it on 3rd down for the opposing team. The fact you are hearing it all the time is a sign our defense is dominant.
  4. Dahlin and Power were with him.
  5. ESPN+ is the greatest value. For around $5/mo (in a bundle with Hulu and Disney) I get almost every Sabres game, the Bandits, and every UB sporting event. I'm sure it will be $50/mo in no time but I'm enjoying the deal now
  6. It's pointless linking NHL.com or NHL app videos for me. They won't play. I have to turn on my VPN and use incognito setting for it to work. No idea why. Because I have a conspiracy theory that all NHL road teams are expected to play their scrubs in preseason.
  7. Comrie had the bad luck of starting games with the C-team players in front of him. As for his "slow" glove hand, the fastest human reaction times are about 0.15 seconds. An NHL wrist shot from the slot can easily beat that, especially with a goalie having to move acres the crease in that time as well. That's what defensemen are for. To stop guys from parking themselves and freely picking their spots.
  8. I guess this where I come in and defend a 6-goal performance. Comrie didn't get beat on any shots he should have stopped. This game was a tip drill for Sidney. I'm more concerned at defenders like Bryson and Lybushkin getting turned inside out.
  9. Mediocre whining. That's good isn't it?
  10. Weak goal by all the Pens, including Jarry who waved at it as it went by.
  11. This is my last post on the matter. As @K-9 pointed out, there are definitional meanings and there's meanings the general public uses.
  12. My world is common reality. What's yours?
  13. And yet it's always used to describe a negative and is never considered a compliment. "Congratulations, Johnny! You were falling English but now you're mediocre."
  14. Again, mediocre is a pejorative and does not describe the act of breaking a playoff drought. https://brians.wsu.edu/2016/05/24/mediocre/#:~:text=Although some dictionaries accept the,are almost always more negative.
  15. That we will need close to 100 points to make the playoffs, and doing so won't be mediocre.
  16. That there are 1,312 contests in an NHL season and 2,624 points (and potentially up to 3,936) must be earned between 32 teams. You can't say "all you need is 86 points to make the playoffs" because any point Team A fails to earn is earned by Team B and so on. Last year 2,912 points were earned in total during the 21/22 season. That breaks out to 91 per team.
  17. But those points don't just evaporate. If Florida only has 85 points. Those 30-some points end up on other teams.
  18. If you're "not very good" then you are bad. Mediocre is not a compliment.
