I'm just relaying what I heard, from someone I trust with a connection to the UM program. That said, did the person telling my friend really know for sure? Who knows. Obviously it's not a worry now. Oh @Weave, sorry for repeating myself. Old age

We'll just have to beat the Leafs in their barn again.

The guy who got me my tickets to the Frozen Four is not only a UM alum, he also worked in the athletics department as a academic advisor/tutor, working mainly in the hockey program under Red Berensen. It's been years since he graduated but he still knows people in the program. Take it for what it's worth but he tells me that when the Sabres drafted Power it was his intention to, quote, "not sign with the Sabres." What's changed since? His agent talking sense into him? The Sabres playing better changing his mind? Who knows. But if you believe what my buddy says, through his connections to Power and the UM program, he did a 180 on the Sabres.

Did you have the Pit Beef BBQ sandwiches at the arena? They're awesome.

What a marathon. You're locked in TD Garden for 8 hours, eating their obscenely expensive concessions. 24oz beer? $18. BBQ sandwich with fries? $18. Slice of pizza? $12. Reporters like Vogl and Harrington love to point out how nice other NHL arena are but leave out how much you are spending for a beer and a bite. (Who owns and operates TD Garden and it's concessions? Why none other than Jeremy Jacobs' Delaware North.) I should also point out the redevelopment of TD Garden is complete now and it's incredible. They've surrounded the arena with a new concert venue, a Guy Fieri restaurant, a massive food court, a supermarket, several restaurant/cocktail lounge/taverns, a hotel and new high rise condominiums. Of course Boston North Train Station and Green and Orange subway lines meet there too.

Watching on a phone. Can't see too much detail but wtf is with the sloppy play in our end?

I made this point before on SabreSpace. What is the point of having a WEEKLY power poll if you are basing your rankings on the entire season? There is already a power poll that does that. It's called THE STANDINGS.

Yes. Silly me. I thought he was judging teams on how they are playing, you know, this week. But apparently he just copies the standings. He didn't appreciate me pointing that out to him.

Maybe the Sabres can finally crack #25 in Mike Harrington's weekly NHL power poll?
