It means the Amerks are boned. Every team they are chasing has games in hand on them. They need to win most of their remaining games to get in. It's actually quite a brawl in the division with teams separated by thousandths of a point. Not sure why (COVID probably) but AHL teams are not all playing the same number of games.

Not knocking the Sabres. The talent disparity is obvious. As Worf would say, they died well.

But isn't it a nice story if Kane played for the Sabres? Homeboy returns, helps his team get back to winning?

It's a fine line. But the Canes and Panthers started taking the Sabres seriously, put out max effort and you saw the result.

The play here is Kane as a cap dump. The Sabres can handle his $10MM salary easily. I think he still has something left in the tank. The question for Adams and Granato is does Kane add to the locker room?

This current road trip shows they are getting better but still a ways from being able to play against the elite teams. But that's fine. They are doing a lot with a roster mostly made up of JAG's

Unfortunately there were about 50 dumb plays tonight. Granato should bag skate these mofo's for backsliding into mid-season Sabres form. I don't care if CAR and FLA are the best teams in the league.
