Have a friend whose daughter is a gymnast and similar surgery for scoliosis... she was back tumbling 21/2 months later... tethering is less invasive and traumatic... that being said my son had much worse scoliosis and other neuro issues with consultations decided he wasnt a candidate and had 2 titanium rods place in his back in November... He is doing much better but does not have the flexibility that teethering would have allowed.

Which is more disappointing, not making the playoffs for years on end or losing in the first round for years on end? Agree both are depressing.

Eichel for some reason always bothered me, though Sabres botched medical side... tethering since Eichel debacle has become much more common and in many cases very successful especially for athletes

Id give Quinn part of 1 year to heal literally and gain strength and confidence if not part of deal at trade deadline.

Sabres dont do well covering slot when they put 3 defenders on side boards.... not sure where other defenders are.

God Quinn has so lost his stop turn and pivot legs we saw before injuries... quickness is just not there.

Im ok with Krebs as 4th liner... he had a crap game but have seen him playing better of late... yep Sabres need a #2 center... and a bunch of heavy defenders... Quinn needs rehab and 20 lbs.

As much as this game frustrated me (bad calls) and Power's lack of physicality and Quinn playing on stilts... They at least are skating... and losing is not the worst thing if at least one or two D from Amerks make the big club next year... along with a high draft forward.
