I love hockey always have and somehow the Sabres are turning me off to not only them but the game itself... thinking about cancelling my ESPN plus and MSG subscriptions where I watch most of the games... sigh so disappointed.

BTW watched that last Amerks game and Metsa is a force on D... what is his story... I dont remember... tough and good skater... Helenius making progress but a bit inconsistent... Syracuse plays tough hard nose game so good eval for type of players that show they can compete... recommend everyone watch.

He is one of the few getting under the islanders skin... Power needs some hitting drills in every practice... put a football sled out there and make him practice moving guys.

Good game... Sabres played well except early on... couldnt beat a hot goalie and missed their spots.. had Minni on their heals most of 3rd.. it happens

It's life... not sure which is worse a hurting special needs kid or a worried wife... got both... trying to remain calm. PS i am hockey player in fact blocked a puck last night with my abs... it left a mark... pain is just that.. itll pass.

update just got home and he and my stressed wife are sleeping so i am being vewy vewy quiiet because its wabbit season.

My special needs son 12 days after scoliosis surgery is finally well enough and just got his discharge papers... been a tough slog, kid is sick of being poked and prodded and now that we can go after getting up at 5am to poop and fussing for 3 hours he is sleeping... but woo hoo we can leave... just waiting to clean him up and skadoosh

Again when you see so much potential... if he could, and last game I saw some improvement, stay on his pins in the corner. he gets run over way too often... the other night only noticed one bad one but he still needs to be harder on the puck on the boards and in the corners.

Im in the show me category... neither no or yes... hopeful but show me.

He needs to use his body more in corners and behind the net to protect the puck... he did better in this game... but too often he is moved off the puck... yes great stick... he doesnt need to hit guys but when forecheck is up on him he needs to better use his strength and, dare I say, "power" to work through those situations...

D wasnt what Id call soft, more a step slow and tired at times... but then they'd suck it up the next shift when I was expecting them to fold. Even Kulich was doing a good job along with Cozens... McCleod teaching them something?
