Doesn’t this org have enough soft skill players? I guess you could jump start the rebuild and ship out Savoie / Kulich. I want to bring in guys like Goodrow, Hathaway, Jeannout, Bennet, etc. ***** that drive other teams nuts. Not more soft players that are victims to those players ice.

Why wouldn’t he waive his NMC or provide a list or however his contract is worded to get out? He likes losing? Outside of the guys on expiring contracts leaving, I don’t really see any of this happening.

Free agency is silly season. GMs handing out big contracts to players who in no way shape or form deserve the overpayment they receive. I’d rather trade for someone actually good.

I’m trying to determine when Casey Mittelstadt became a fan favorite. Because we had a half decade of everyone hating and I mean HATING 37. Now every Sabres fan is lamenting the trade. He’s still, no pull-up all Fortnite Mitts. Let’s not get it twisted.

You don’t need to speculate, Granato has already said Bo is playing with Rasmus.

Well the Avs are buying and the Sabres are selling.

I don’t think anyone would think to compare Casey to Lucas. Hard to find a recent comparison in the Sabres org as every prospect recently has been super offensive (Peterka, Quinn, Olofsson, Mitts, Tage). Maybe someone like Curtis Brown. He was certainly a defense first forward (unlike Rousek) but had the overall game similar to Lucas. With all the hyped offensive guys on the way, Rousek may be able to carve out a role in the absence of Okposo or Girgensons.
