How many people are arguing to keep our prospects? It’s almost unanimous people want good players today. Well probably yesterday when it could have impacted this season but you get my point.

I don’t think Casey has the rep outside of Buffalo he has here (budding star player). What’s he to the rest of the league? A 60 point guy? Maybe he has enough of a resume to be the centerpiece. I’d think it would have to be Tage, Dylan, Rasmus or Owen.

He’s also a turnover machine. Within the last week I’ve seen him make two blind drop passes on the power play that were put right on the opposing team’s stick. He’s a finisher that the Sabres don’t have in abundance but his game has so many holes it’s laughable.

I don’t care about heavy weight fighters. They don’t impact the game. The Sabres need more guys that can play hockey and answer the bell if needed. This NYR kid is blazing a trail. Not sure it’s going to be lit for long.

They didn’t go away, they are just on the brink of extinction. Fighting is fine. The league just doesn’t need a designated fighter role. It serves little purpose other than satisfying the blood thirsty fans.
