So cultured people understand the Hispanic origin of Las Vegas (it’s not like I’m reaching) and just go right to the standard North American breakdown of Vegas. So instead of getting the long “A” sound that the Spanish “E” gives us, they lean hard into the soft “e” sound or schwa sound. Fascinating.

The hockey world scoffed at the Sabres for giving up bonafide superstar in the making Mathew Savoie for a bottom six defensive forward with limited upside. It seems like a pretty solid trade at this point.

I too would like every defenseman we have to be Chris Pronger or Scott Stevens but there really aren’t many of those types left. I guess Jacob Trouba but the list is short for a reason. It’s a dying role. If the Sabres had supplemented their highly skilled, highly paid offensive defenseman with some real nasty types, we might not be having this conversation. Unfortunately, the Sabres have almost all offensive dmen and the ones who aren’t we hate, see Mattias Samuelsson. Raging continuously about Power’s lack of aggression and physical play is only going to give you grief. Owen Power is one of the best offensive dmen in the league. He’s also very adept and clearing the defensive zone and moving the puck up the ice getting the team into scoring situations. I wish he’d rip guys heads off but it’s just not going to happen. Embrace him for who he is, otherwise you are just going to be miserable indefinitely.

Josh Allen is a superstar top 3 at his position in the midst of a HoF career. Dahlin isn’t even the best defenseman on his own team.

If you aren’t satisfied with the product don’t consume it. The only way they will get the message is in their super thin pocketbook. Let them know you won’t support an inferior product by eliminating them from your life. You’ll be happier and probably me tally healthier.

All the accountability doofuses are going to find out that nothing will instill accountability in gutless players. They can’t do the things you want them to do.
