Holy ***** does McDermott need to learn this. The Bills have easily been the worst defensive Hail Mary team in the league under his tenure and he hasn’t changed it up.

I have heard almost no one give Lindy kudos for the job he’s done this season. Most fans are teetering on the fence of whether or not to keep him.

Why would I want to do that? Let me find the intersection in the United States with the most traffic fatalities and stand there until someone dies. I think we all know the Sabres deficiencies, comparing them to a good team is just going to result in more frustration and pain. I’m personally not in the mood for it. I’ll watch, smoke a little and hope for the best. If they don’t perform well, it’ll be background noise while I game or smoke. I don’t need additional self inflicted wounds.

Can we just limit this forum to game day threads? All the conjecture just gets fans at each other’s throats. It’s exhausting.

I expect more from a first overall “generational” defenseman. That’s always been his problem and now Owen is facing that. These guys will never live up to their draft hype. Ever.

Östlund has been injured most of the season. Based on the limited amount I’ve seen him, he is years and I mean years away from being an NHL player.

You call out every mediocre player on the Sabres vs our HOF in waiting franchise defenseman who someone managed to completely miss on a puck that he had dead to rights. He needs to never make that mistake. He also needs way better situational awareness. Several times a game he does something that makes me ask if he understands fundamental hockey. I’m genuinely curious. He makes the most difficult play almost exclusively.

Sure I just wish he had an ounce of likability.

Rasmus is a good player. Great offensively. Is he the kind of guy men will get behind and go to war for? I don’t know the behind the scene stuff but he doesn’t exactly scream born leader. Maybe it’s everyone else. Maybe not… He’s never had good insight. He usually sounds like he’s guessing or avoiding saying facts because people’s feelings will get hurt. Hence why they should blow it up. Keep Rasmus and a few others but they hated too many passengers.

Leaders lead. Anyone can wear a letter on their sweater. I don’t care who it is. Although, if said player is a spineless puke that other players will resent and affect their play on the ice, maybe it should be revisited.

Glad it took Lindy 40+ games to figure it out. This is how they play almost exclusively. This isn’t a today problem. Or a new problem. It’s a consistent problem. Shame on KA for not recognizing it and addressing it. Plenty of veteran players out there that could have been the difference. Instead they invented in spineless children. This team will never succeed until they demonstrate they understand what winning professional hockey players look like. It’s ain’t most of these guys.

They need to weed out the guys that are wilting under pressure. Cozens? For sure. Tuch, most likely. Tage? Maybe. Dahlin? 👀 Power? Easily. I find it hard to find a player that has ice in his veins. Instead we have a bunch of poopey pants children that barf all over themselves when anything at all is expected of them. Get rid of the smelly diapers. They are killing this team.

Why do people still listen to announcers? I have 3 TVs, my phone and a gaming console all at my fingertips. The last thing I’m doing is tuning in intently to any announcer on any game.
