Sorry Mattias Samuelsson had the worst play I’ve ever seen by a dman last night. He slid on his ballsack from blue line to blue line with the puck under him leading immediately to an odd man rush the other way. He just stayed down until he finished sliding. Like a little kid playing outside. No cares in the world. Weeeeee!!!

I don’t know what you expect when they literally lose in the worst fashion ever. I could not have predicted a worse outcome. I miss the days when this franchise had sucked all the hope out of me and I didn’t care at all about anything they did.

There was only one thing this team could not do last night. Then they went and did exactly that. I’ve said it here before and I’ll say it again. No one knows how to squash goodwill like this Sabres team. This fanbase has been on the precipice of going all in for a year now. In spectacular fashion, the Sabres ensured that not one effing person is going to make that leap. I guess thanks for letting us know early in the playoff race, that they are pretenders.

I think that’s just a fan thing. A particular type of fan. The type that I’m not. I’ll never understand the hatred for the Canes. I think it’s really misguided anger that should have been placed at the foot of the Sabres organization rather than another one.

Sabres lose 3 of the next 4 and the conversation seems a little stupid. Like all the draft hype for Eichel and Dahlin. There was almost no way they could live up to the hype. Thankfully one of them did, although it was looking pretty rough until Meatballs took over.

I’m enjoying the fact that this is even a consideration this time of year. I’m starting to cringe at the “all they gotta do is…”’ crowd that is dominating the inter webs. This team is going to lose a bunch more games. It’s going to get a little hairy or frankly really disappointing sometime soon. Everyone needs to chill out. When I start hearing WGR spouting stuff like “if you go by point percentage, the Sabres are in the playoffs” nonsense that I hear every time they come back from commercial, it gets annoying. Fans are all gettting their hopes up for a team that still is less than a coin flip to make the playoffs.

Clearly he’s missing a T. Hopefully for Mat, they find it before next season.
