The Sabres should have put it in the air that any NHL coach with demonstrable success in the league who is up for a contract renewal should talk to the Sabres before signing anything because it could mean double the money of what they'd get anywhere else.
That is how they get the attention of someone like Rod Brind'Amour.
I mean I’m guessing he’s made $20-30 mill from playing and coaching. Everyone loves money but it’s not like he needs it.

Think of the return someone like this alone would get. Add in a "top prospect" and we could totally retool this team to be a contender.
I wonder if anyone has proposed this trade somewhere in this forum very recently

Fan Appreciation Day. Given the Sabres track record for playoffs, you would think they would do this game earlier in the season.
I hope Terry is there.
Or at least make it a leafs game so they can show those fans how much they are appreciated.

I realize that in Georgia's offense, Ladd and other WR were often lined up outside to block. Also, the Y receiver at Georgia was often Bowers who is absurd. I love Ladd and Beasley is a good comp. I don't disagree with anything you have here. He's just not a true X guy.
I've probably watched 90% of Ladds ncaa snaps. Love the player, don't love the fit. That said, if they draft him, I ain't complaining.
At 28?

Say Kulich is better than Krebs ? Don't you want the best players to open the season ?
Kulich has primarily played wing in Rochester

what a ridiculous stat. Analytics are too much....what about high danger stuff?
Like I said, he’s a good offensive defenseman. If I can find some other metrics, I’ll post them.

Power does a lot of good things with the puck on his stick.
He needs help rounding out his game in front of his own net.

Still cannot believe they gave him that contract after like 80-85 total games. Insanity. That's what bridge deals are for.
Needs a new coach in the worst way.
A new coach isn’t going to turn him into Chris Pronger. He’s an offensive dman. A very good one at that. The issue is that’s all the Sabres have. Offensive defenseman, minus Muel who is never healthy. They need someone else to be their Pronger.

I can see the guys you listed along with some others buying into a physical game but they need someone to lead it. On the front end and backend. I know it’s not your preference but give me 3 or 4 guys that deck people and the Billy’s will buy in.
Boys autocorrected to Billy’s 🤷♂️

I assumed he meant this year? But, ya know ... ***** and such is the saying.

Peterka can clearly play at the NHL level and be effective. Quinn I'm not going to judge this year due to the long injury. He's not where Peterka is and I'm not as enamored by his play as some are but I'm going to wait to see what he brings next year (assuming he's healthy).
I was talking about Rosen, and Rousek, Kulich, pretty much everybody we called up over the year.
Sorry. It wasn’t clear.

Benson is very physical.
Tage, Tuch, not so much but they are big. Greenway has done physicality, he's big.

Could be. I like Ladd a lot. Just feel the Bills need X help not Y help.
Nah draft Ladd and send 15 guys in crossing routes. 🤣

Or be expected to pay for season tickets, game day tickets, parking, and concessions with hard-earned wages or other income… when the owner doesn’t care enough to insist his GM, Coach, and Players commit to a winning effort every single game.
I wish effort was the underlying issue. I thinks it’s deeper than that.

allen is going to make everyone looks stupid next year
There is a reason I blocked the original Twatter. And where do I start with the Beasley comment. He’s a moron. He’s not wrong but he’s the last guy I need to hear from about anything regarding anything.

It’s not smarts to realize that you are the problem. It is self awareness. And most folks don’t have it sufficiently enough to recognize when they are the problem.
I’ve said it before but you don’t need to be smart to get rich. You just need to know how to remove money from people’s pockets and put it in yours. Plenty of dolts turned millionaire out there.

Expecting a coach to scream at morning show guys and throw his players under the bus tells me fans don’t understand how a lot of things work. Also, the WGR guys need to maintain a working relationship with Sabres personnel, including Granato. If they slam him the second he is off the air, he’ll never come back on the show.
Granato isn’t going to tell a radio show his thoughts and feelings about individual players. He’ll get into how they are playing and what he’d like to se them do but tell the media his players suck will lose the locker room immediately.
People put entirely too much stock into these interviews. It’s to give us access not air his issues with players. Have any of you managed people? You start doing what many are suggesting, you’ll lose the players respect.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Granato did a great job. I’d like to see a change but I’m resigned to the fact that it most likely won’t happen.
The comments from Tage, Tuch and Dahlin are concerning. I like they are trying to take ownership but to me it sounds like guys who don’t have the answers. I don’t think they or the coach can provide the answers as they’ve been at this for years. If you haven’t figured it out by now, maybe you aren’t the right guys.
This organization need an injection of leadership. Focus, determination, consistent work habits and a burning desire to win. I don’t see that in this group. Just wayward souls on a journey with no direction.

We don't. I wish ppl would stop saying this because it makes it sound like the problem is a simple solution of "get bigger". The Sabres have size, lots of it, but the important part of your post is that no one goes to the net and that isn't simply the realm of "power forwards". Everyone should be going to the net. However we have the worst coaches in the NHL and they don't demand anything of their team. In fact they ignore analytics and are dinosaurs bumbling their way around waiting for the meteor to take them out.
Here’s hoping!

I have no actual reasoning but I don’t like this guy, at all. Not to mention, don’t Curtis Samuel, Tupac Shakir, and Dalton Kinkaid have the middle of the field covered. They need an X receiver that can stretch the field. Probably two of them. Maybe I’m wrong. Learning a lot about these guys in the next couple weeks.
