  1. TB is being a little loosey goosey. That was as sneaky a goal as I've seen.
  2. The irony that such a gold-standard thread is about Hodgson. Dudacek is hitting home-runs in every post here.
  3. On that last goal Crawford over-committed to the side the puck carrier was on, but he knew there were two defenders coming. I would guess he was relying on those two to handle a pass, which they didn't. Chicago just seemed out of gas toward the end of that period, out of gas for Chicago, that is.
  4. I had the same thought, but figured faking an injury during play at the net was too risky during a SCF game.
  5. I think they've settled into what this series is all about. They were nailing Blackhawks for a while, too. Seems both teams go through spurts of turning up the physical play.
  6. Goodness, Chicago looked totally out of it for that play.
  7. I don't know, seems both sides are being allowed to play. Well, I mean in this series in general.
  8. He has to be relying on injections between periods to manage the injury, and they're either not lasting long enough or he makes it worse each minute he's out there.
  9. Bishop is clearly playing injured. I don't know why he's starting, Chicago knows he's injured, too.
  10. Haha, "Doc" keeps on saying "Bishop" and Pierre keeps trying to discretely correct him. Good hockey game. The Lightning were impressive, and Chicago was even given a goal.
  11. Between Crawford, Hossa, and Oduya, I'm not liking the dirty crap I'm seeing Chicago pull this year.
  12. Look, a clean goal.
  13. Wow, can't believe that stands without a review from Toronto.
  14. Can we get a video board like Tampa has? Please?
  15. This right here is exactly how I imagined this series. Great hockey. Yay!
  16. Then what does Hodgson bring? What do the players say about Kaleta? I agree the Buffalo connection is a fan-factor, but I think you're too quick to dismiss, and underrate, the non-quantifiable factors that Kaleta brings. It doesn't hurt to keep him around another season or two, on a two-way, to help get the kids going in the right direction. Then let him retire honorably and become a trainer at HC.
  17. Penalty kill? Passion for the sport and Buffalo? Speed? Some folk were praising Girgensons because he was blocking shots even though his team was down 14pts in a game. Don't tell me Kaleta doesn't bring that, too. It's not like he's expensive or anything. Give him a two-way and a decent salary as a reward for being a loyal soldier and everyone will be happy.
  18. Someone needs to fire off an email to TM and crew since they kept Irbe on and are recommending Bylsma interview him. The email needs to end with "Sabrespace has spoken."
  19. I seem to recall this coming up maybe sometime near the beginning of last season..? Anyway, just stopped in to say the Sabres may not be cracking the top 20 yet, but they're the sure number one in our hearts.
  20. McDavid reminds me of an emo-less Miller.
  21. Great interview. I like the guy, and he's already getting tired of the media. Pretty low of the reporter asking that very last question. Gotcha Mr. 18 Year old Future Hockey star! Yeesh. Why isn't anyone asking the question: where are the media scrums for the other combine participants on the Sabres website? Well, except McDavid. And, why IS McDavid's scrum posted. Hmmmm?
  22. You know what may be intimidating? The fact that you don't have a grace period after posting something and before the little "edited by..." tag is added. First off, the stupid thing is placed on the next available line and it messes up the formatting of the post unless you remember to return a few lines at the end. But, with devices being what they are, it's pretty easy these days to make an error in your post that needs correcting. Except, no one wants to look foolish and that little "edited by..." tag may very well make noobs think they look foolish.
  23. Just based on the past several Murray interviews it seems he's rather set to draft Eichel, assuming Eichel is there at two. I think the far more likely concern (and, remember, this is relative to the concern over shopping the pick) is that Edmonton takes Eichel first. Many people will say the possibility of that happening is beyond remote, because, you know, McDavid is the King of Canada, born under the center ice dot of a Holy hockey rink, but I think the possibility is more aptly described as "probably remote".
  24. "McDavid had only had a few meetings, including interviews with the Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs, who have the fourth pick." ~ The Globe and Mail The conclusion you seem to be trying to draw is that Buffalo is shopping the second pick. Murray has always said he'll listen to anyone, but, he's pretty much committed to Eichel, or don't you agree?
  25. What are the odds either Eichel or McDavid make it past pick two? I guess the question is for GoDD.
