Can’t agree more. Desire cannot be taught, but it sure as hell can be contagious for those willing to be infected. We’ve got several players now who have that desire and are infecting their teammates. Krebs, Cozens, Okie, Girgs just to name a few. It’s reminding me of the Peca/Stu B teams of the late 90s. Minus the HOF goaltending of course.

And rightly so.

Rick truly is an artist; a master of creating theater for the mind. That’s why his work transcends mere play by play. There will never be another like him. I don’t think it’s possible, otherwise we’d have heard of that person by now.

I have no problem with how he scores his goals and if Beagle and the rest of the team don’t like getting shown up, then try playing better defense. Zegras is what we referred to as a “hot dog” back in the day so I’m not surprised that opponents would seek him out.

I know we joke about “must win” all the time, but this really was a must win game and the boys showed up and did just that. Couldn’t be more proud of our peeps, either. We gave the team a glimpse of what we really are as fans. Just give us a reason to love ya guys, because this city wants to in the worst way.

He’s barely tolerable when you have a tv image to view as you listen, but if you’re radio only, he’s impossible. Has zero talent for painting a picture for the listener, no concept of creating theatre for the mind.

Slight correction: Dahlin is still 21 and won’t be 22 for a couple weeks.

I like Anderson, but I just can’t agree that his brutal overtime performance doesn’t cloud the rest of his game last night. Not only does it cloud it, the overtime whiff completely erases it. It was a terrible display of goaltending that underscored once again our ineptitude at the position.

I’ve watched a ton of their games and despite his defense being thinned by call ups and injuries during the course of the season resulting in numerous shots and scoring chances against him, UPL has crapped the bed in his own right much of the time. Good goalies need to make the big, difficult save with regularity and imo UPL is not up to the task. He just may not be a very good goalie.

Lehner-like indeed. It was as though Anderson channeled him.

No Bryson, but they assigned Samuelsson, Fitz, and Krebs to the Amerks last week so they’d be eligible for an AHL playoff run.
