VO looks like he’s wearing the Jimmy sneakers from Seinfeld. As to the game tonight, I think the key for the Sabres is getting up early making the Canucks grip the sticks a little tighter as they start pressing to appease the increasingly hostile home crowd.

Said it last night, when the Sabres keep moving their feet and with their speed, they can compete with any team in the league. Some nights, the legs simply won’t be there as happens to all teams, but most teams, even the better ones, don’t have the kind of team speed up and down the lineup like the Sabres do. Can’t wait until this young team actually figures things out so that their mental games match their physical games.

I’d add that they did that in the first half of the season last year as well. But instead chastising players like previous coaches and pinning them the bench, Granato finds the learning opportunity and keeps playing the guys to seize the growth opportunity. That is a really liberating feeling for players. Tonight was a real character builder in that regard, imo.

Funny you mention that because the other day, Marty said that Comrie’s build is deceiving because he has a short torso but really long legs which he said was a big advantage for Comrie.

You must have missed the part when Jack said it’s the only time the fans ever made any noise in the building. He was classless and didn’t handle it the right way. I don’t care about frustration or any other excuse, either. Glad Okposo likes him and all, but that has no bearing on anything.

I think more folks around here would be far less interested in Eichel currently if he hadn’t decided to be such a prick towards the fans in the post game interview after his return. There are right ways and wrong ways to address booing fans, he chose the wrong way, and in doing so brought this derision upon himself.

Man, we really missed Cody Eakin on those D zone face offs in crunch time. 😁

Watching that last PP I got the impression that burning two minutes was more important than actually attempting to score.
