  1. This is pretty much my list with two honorable mentions. 1) Robert overtime goal in fog game 2) The Shoney 3 fight game against the Bruins but not because of the fights but because, for me, it was the moment I knew that the Sabres were good.
  2. Asplund is as much a lock on this team as any other forward. When everyone is healthy, and assuming they acquire another center, the last forwards out will be two of Vinny, GIRGS, Krebs, Quinn and JJP
  3. I believe they are still looking for that guy
  4. Obviously I’m not talking about most of the fan base but there is a vocal segment who believe that ROR left because of Jack and that everyone else hated him. You are right, he wasn’t the leader they needed, there are probably teammates that didn’t like him, blah blah blah. For me, it’s ancient history. Of course, I also look at it as year 2 of the Adams rebuild and not year whatever of the playoff drought.
  5. It’s funny, start a thread about how Jack is universally despised and you are likely to get twenty pages. Post something about how KO likes him or how Jack, Sam and O’Reilly are friends and nary a word. No wonder he always ignores me. I’ve been calling him Kyle as he walks by. I also had no idea it was pronounced yle.
  6. I had issues the two weeks prior. I haven’t noticed an issue this week
  7. So let me get this straight. Nobody might be posting but he’s not somebody because everybody is somebody so nobody might be no one or he might be everybody.
  8. Are you sure? Nobody could be somebody
  9. I think it’s at least partly because both cities are closer to equal then most parent club/ minor league affiliate arrangements.
  10. I can’t let a thread like this go without my usual voice of dissent when it comes to the value of AHL success. I believe, the Crunch’s success has more to do Tampa’s drafting prowess and not any veteran leadership on the farm. I, for example, don’t believe Catensomething develops into Brayden Point if only he played for Syracuse instead of Rochester.
  11. I think that’s ultimately where they want to be with the ability to use their three best defensive forwards as one line in the third period when they go with three lines or against certain opponents or certain game situations
  12. I like that his statement does not sound exactly like several of those I read. At least there’s a level of sincerity when they don’t sound all rehearsed.
  13. While all this is true, I’ve been told the public profession that Patrick wants to see how the Blackhawk’s season progresses before requesting a trade is privately him wanting to see how Buffalo progresses. Like I said at the beginning, I thought it was unlikely they trade for him but it still could happen, especially if things go even better then expected for the Sabres although he likely goes to a Cup contender to finish the season.
  14. I would be surprised if Buffalo is involved in the Tkachuk talk. He controls were he goes because of his FA status next year and my guess is he wouldn’t want to be in sane division as his brother.
  15. Oh I agree, and I am excited and the reality is that if the current group expected to start 2022/2023 in Buffalo is as good as advertised, they only need three or four of the twenty-two players drafted the last two years to hit.
  16. If all these prospects turn out to be what some people think they will be, the Stanley Cup final will be Rochester versus Buffalo in three or four years
  17. It all comes down to the fact that everyone has their own motivations and interests and those constantly change. People tend to think that everyone wants the same things but we all want something different at different stages of our life. When I was 21 I wanted to be in the city, Between 30-55, Grand Island was a great place to raise the family and now at 62, I love East Aurora and being able to walk to any of Barbill, Pasquales’s, Griffon’s and Rick’s on Main and no freakin open container law.
  18. They have 8 forwards under contract and still have to sign their two most coveted RFA’s. They do not have as much room as it would appear.
  19. I disagree. Someone, maybe multiple someone’s, we’re discussing offer sheets with his camp. Teams don’t choose arbitration lightly.
  20. They chose club elected arbitration with Tkachul because they feared someone was about to drop an offer sheet on him.
  21. Just bumping this to confirm there is interest. I need to know soon the number of tickets and preferred game I will need to secure. Please pm me if serious. No worries if the interest isn’t there. Thanks.
  22. I agree. Sometimes that due diligence leads to something.
