Three roommates! That explains a lot.

And here my friends is the first entry in the "let's find a creative way to tank next year" club. Carolina will only be the first team thinking of making "major" changes with the hope of entering the TANK NATION CHASE! My guess is that while this year there were 4 teams fighting for the basement before the Islanders entered the derby only to see Buffalo "pull" away, next year you will see 8 teams starting the chase with 3 or 4 others entering around trade deadline day.

Don't think he can be but can't look it up where I'm at.

I'm more in the "I'm not sure it really matters" camp. I agree that there seems to be a pattern of behavior that is dysfunctional and while we don't really know all the juicy details and facts we can make certain assumptions. Again, though, I'm not sure it matters and I agree with the rather arrogant belief that winning will cure all their ills. I'm old enough to have seen stranger things. Some of the best run companies that I have been a part of have failed and success and dysfunction have not always been mutually exclusive. I know it's almost anti American and definitely anti capitalist but while hard work and an intelligent and efficient management structure are important a lot of success was built on just being in the right place, making sure the right people know who you are and/or just being lucky.

The thing I find most amusing about all of this is that half the people who act like they know what's the best way to run a franchise and think they could do the job much better at it then those in charge believe there is no way TP, CB, TB or JB or any of the inner circle could possibly have a clue.

Thank you

I would agree with this. This team could put together a decent third and fourth line and even parts of a #2 but they need those top 4 forwards, a starting goalie and they need to know if any of their defensive prospects can handle the top pairing.

I think TM will entertain trade offers but he has hinted more then once that he doesn't want more picks as much as he wants high end prospects. Silverber may rate that distinction but Cogliano definitely doesn't.

First off I was trying to be funny in response to you telling me to stop the "cheap" insults. Second I would dispute that I was insulting anything, Third, arrogance earned is just confidence deserved.
-
The arrogance is that you act like every knowledgeable person agrees with you that player A is terrible and those who disagree have done no research and are blindly following the team's directive. The people you choose to believe don't have a monopoly on the absolutely flawless rating system. In the last two days I have heard four"experts" agree with you on Chris Williams and three disagree. Are those three blindly following the Bills? I can find 5 Hall of Fame lineman who will tell you it's a joke that anyone who doesn't have a teams play book can judge a lineman 's play because they can't possibly know what the team was asking said player to do on a particular play. In summary, I have no problem with your opinion, even if you don't always state it as your opinion. I will continue to challenge you when you act as if you have a monopoly on objective analysis. By the way, my customers, clients and colleagues will tell you there is nothing cheap about my opinion and no one ever tells me where or when I can voice said opinion.

Don't get me wrong, the Patriots have had a great run. However, they have swayed from the model that made them Super Bowl champions and it hasn't resulted in the same success. By the way, Pittsburgh has won 2 bowls since New England last won.
-
And this is an example of your arrogance. Are there stats and analysis that back up your claim? Yes there are. But there are also as many analyst and statistics that differ. Its not blind faith, it's having a different opinion and only next season will answer who is right. For the record I choose to believe in what Whaley and Marone have done so far. They are following the model that Pittsburgh and New England used when they built the foundation of their teams. I find it interesting that Pittsburgh has stayed true to their beliefs while New England continues to bring high end, high priced mercenaries that still haven't returned them to their Super Bowl days inspite of having a genius at Head Coach and a legend at QB

Again , you are the realist. Anyone that thinks they may be better is just thinking with their heart and couldn't possibly have better insight then yourself? It's so nice that you want the rest of us to be happy though.
-
Way to hedge your bets. So just so I'm clear, they are likely to be 4 and 12 but will steal a couple of wins to stay mediocre but if they add an over rated, two down middle line backer everything changes. Got it?
-
Then again, the relatively low franchise numbers for those two positions seem to indicate the rest of the league agrees.
-
Two things I have heard discussed; 1) Bill's hierarchy does not place guard in the high premium position category 2) they were also concerned with his long term health prospects due to some existing condition For whatever that's worth

Actually my comment had nothing to do with your career. To me you are just another poster on this board. In my mind you have a long way to go before i consider you anything more. Like a lot of people from your generation, you write like you text and/or talk and I just don't find it very communicative . Just my opinion.

In my opinion, good writers qualify their statements with in my opinion. Secondly, the top teams tweak their roster and keep their own but build mainly through the draft. Denver is desperate and will end up a mess once Peyton turns human again. What other good teams are spending wildly? Thirdly, it's extremely arrogant to believe that all Bills fans are showing "blind faith" just because he was drafted were you don't think he should have been drafted.

You can keep stating your opinion of Manuel as fact but it still doesn't make it true Don't know you are wrong, just know its way too early. And before Pettine was the hot coordinator, Schwartz was even more so. On the other hand, good thing you decided against betting on Glennon being better unless you think he will progress sitting behind McCown.
