  1. He’s 100 percent concerned about image and his own self promotion. He is infinitely qualified to discuss image with Eichel. I just don’t get the anti Brandon spin. He is the one Buffalo sports and entertainment executive who has been successful in his field. He is largely responsible for the Bills being in Buffalo. He may be an arrogant pain in the ass but I have no doubt he will be on short list of candidates when either the MLB, the NHL or the NFL is looking for a new commissioner.
  2. This is the President of the corporation, letting his $80 million investment know that the eyes of the hockey world will see his every move, hear his every word, interpret his every mood over the next four weeks leading up to the winter classic. Any other interpretation is pure......,,,
  3. The whole process is arbitrary,
  4. Ok, finally completed ticket trade so I will be distributing tickets this weekend. 4 of seats are hard tickets so I will need mailing addresses for those. Please respond with seating preferences.
  5. FYI, I have finally found someone who will trade seats in our section for 4 club seats so all 10 of my Ticjets will be in 116,117,118 and 119. Should be ready to distribute tickets in a week or two.
  6. You are really putting too much thought into this, but no worries, I’ve received all the validation I needed and have no desire to discuss exhibition games any further.
  7. I not sure that’s true if they had a chance at the kid from Penn State, but no worries, he’ll be long gone. I’ve posted it twice since the season started.
  8. I still wonder how things would have turned out if Marone didn’t leave and he had Rex forced on him, but I’m glad they moved on. In the end, a true house cleaning was in order. It’s hard to see how he becomes a GM again, as I predicted he would be, but it’s the NFL and Mike Mularkey got another job, so who knows. For now, I’ll end it as I was wrong about Doug, still believing in Russ,
  9. No, I’m pretty sure history is on my side. NFL coaches too. They would rather scrimmage. Most fans, they would pass. Players hate it. Who likes it? The NFL, free money. Ask Brandon Reilly how much it meant or any of the long list of passing, rushing and preseason receiving leaders.. It means nothing. You get as much info as you would get if the players played charity soft ball games,
  10. This is serious?
  11. Ok, how about now. Can we say preseason is meaningless yet?
  12. It’s not a Buffalo thing. Attendance is changing throughout the sports world. Arenas are getting smaller with more group meting places. I would not be surprised to see KBC capacity for hockey lowered to around 17500 with a lot of the 300 converted to bars and standing room only sections.
  13. This was what the Sabres had offered months ago. Eichel's people hoped for more and then blinked. In a manner of 24 hours they leaked that negotiations would stop till summer, then contacted Sabres to revisit numbers, then agreed to a deal that had been there all along. Win Botterill!
  14. In the tradition of Corey Tropp, I would like to say, don't sleep on Malone. If he can stay healthy, and given his history that's a big if, he could be a significant bottom 6 forward on a Cup winning team.
  15. Not meant just for you. There seem to be a lot of assumptions regarding success rates that I don't feel are valid and haven't seen any evidence that I trust to validate a lot of opinions I hear every Sunday. As a probability guy, I see a lot of sketchy math by people who only a few years ago couldn't explain the fifferiance between the median and the average. There is a lot of great work being done by the analytic community but a lot of garbage as well.
  16. Serious questions for you analytic types. 1) if analytics is based on percentages, and if the odds of converting 4th and 1 is less then 50% and less then 50% of drives result in touchdowns then how is it the wrong call to go for points to put you up more then 3? 2) if you believe that teams have used wrong strategy for years, how you can you cite historical references from further back then 5 years ago? 3) finally, do you not understand that some percentages cited, such as Marv Levy's success rate on 4th down, are skewed by the fact that he rarely did it?
  17. I have no idea how rest of this game or season is going to go but can we at least agree that preseason football (and hockey) means absolutely nothing?
  18. Actually I did screw up. Having trouble matching real names to your screen name. Derrico did pay so now I have to figure out which name is wrong. I have a few things going on but I will figure it out by Sunday. Everyone that paid has a ticket.
  19. OK, I have the tickets but right now I still have 4 of them in the Club level section that I know I can trade for some in 117, 118. There are plenty on sale on stubhub for others that want to attend. Again, I apologize for not securing all 14 tickets that were available to me, One less home game and a surprising demand for this game caught me off guard. The 10 people with tickets from me are; drk4 josie ubkev touched taro free eleven wildcard bio wyldwood
  20. There was a lot to like about that game. Offense was awful but defense has looked very good. I am excited to see how good they can be when they actually have 3 LB's that can play the system. The offense was awful but they win that game if Jones runs the right route. It's on him to see that the safety was late and he should have turned it up. TT read that and threw what would have been a TD. The play was a great design, if the corner goes to Jones, Taylor hits other WR for first down. Time management wasn't great but is being over blown. With his attention to detail he will get better.
  21. Gentleman, This is s football. Coach, could you start a little slower?
  22. Cost cutting? Now that's funny.
  23. I think the inference was clear and RB had nothing to do with the player sell off.
  24. (And factually incorrect.)
  25. I was thinking Falcons
