Nice job! Back before COVID I always fluctuated between 205-207. I'm between 193-195 now. Shooting for under 190 by September, which is a number I haven't seen since I was in high school. I've been doing reasonable exercise (walking on my lunch break every day), this pull-up regimen I found (I'm up to a max of 7, two months ago I couldn't do ANY pull-ups), some planks, and some hiking. Haven't started cycling again yet, but I think that's coming soon. Diet made a huge difference though. The pandemic has me eating out a lot less. I also started subbing in mineral water (Topo Chico, when I can get it at Wegmans) for beers in my fridge, so that on nights when I want something besides water from the Brita I can reach for something other than a beer (at least to start ?). Cutting out the odd 150 calorie beer here and there is big.

The focus on death rates continues to be a massive misdirection. The death rate isn't really the concern here at all, of course. We've known for a while that young people are less likely to have it affect them. The problem is that sticking a bunch of kids in a school means spreading it, probably asymptomatically, inside, and then outside, the walls of the school. You know...to parents, grandparents, other siblings, etc. So sure, the school children might not die, but mom and dad might. Sounds good.

Oh, I don't think he thinks he was wrong. It's definitely political. There must be internal polling that is showing him getting crushed in swing states or something. Something has him spooked that he might get called a loser by someone on Fox. And you're right of course. He's not even rich.

I think ultimately they played it safe and that's okay. The colors, the jersey, the name, the logos, are all fine. Not exceptionally good or bad. Just...fine. I think they'll have fun with being called the Kraken, just like Vegas has fun with being the Knights.

I'm going to assume it's because COVID didn't simply "go away on its own" and it's starting to hurt some of the rich people who tell him what to do. The only thing that Trump and his peers hate more than regular people is losing money.

Just wondering aloud a bit here, but I have to imagine GOP leadership would have preferred a quiet election year rather than the absolute chaos that is going on right now. They were getting everything they wanted. They were getting their federal court justices. They are getting their Supreme Court. They might even get another SCOTUS appointment if RBG doesn't hang on. They might have even managed a relatively easy win in the fall. Trump's continued mishandling of COVID and the continued assault on American citizens by federal law enforcement is not going to be easy for someone as dumb as him to handle in debates in the fall. Joe Biden isn't a particularly compelling candidate, and in fact I think he sucks, but Trump is giving out political ammunition that even Sleepy Joe can deploy and come off looking patriotic while not going too far left. The best thing Trump could have done was tread water and keep liberals and the left focused on fighting each other. Six months ago simply opposing Trump as a platform was not going to be enough and it was all the Democrats had. Now it's probably the only thing they actually need.
