  1. What are they even supposed to do? We've got a bunch of bad contracts we really can't move, we've got a bunch of kids that we really don't want to bring up from the A until they've built a little winning culture down there. And it's really too early to start trading the good assets we have. We're stuck. It's not a tank, they're just bad.
  2. I would guess he just doesn't feel as comfortable talking to you about his relationship with your friend as he would about women you don't know. Maybe he's nervous that he might say something that will get him in trouble if you repeat it to her? It's very possible there's no good reason for his lack of openness, but as a guy I can say that I've definitely kept relationship things closer to the vest when it came to situations in the past where everyone was friends.
  3. Is it just me or does Peterman have no power on his throws?
  4. Breakfast pizza
  5. Tyrod can't throw the ball if our idiot OC only calls run plays to Tolbert.
  6. The Jets loss broke me again so now I'm back to feeling no pain.
  7. Might be turning this one off before the half. Brutal start.
  8. I'm disappointed but Auburn is that good.
  9. Friendsgiving was a great success tonight. So nice to be living in my hometown again so we can do stuff like this with all my friends. I made candied yams and applesauce and both were excellent. My friends are all great cooks too. A nice way to start the holiday season.
  10. Flagg, you don't have to believe me, but you should watch them. They look good.
  11. I caught a Vegas game the other night. What stood out to me was how aggressive they are on the puck, especially the opposing puck carrier. Plus they are not lacking in talent. Marchessault had some nice moves. They're just a gritty team that tries to smother their opponents with the forecheck.
  12. I don't think I'll be watching this one either, but who knows. Friendsgiving tonight, so maybe?
  13. This is great news dude. Congrats.
  14. That's what I like about winter. The weather outside is crappy and cold which motivates me to put more time in at work on side projects, or at home reading or playing with a new hobby. Plus I can get back to playing hockey which is my preferred exercise. Winter is nice and I don't know if I could ever live somewhere without a change in seasons. It's worth the hassle of snow and coats and boots.
  15. 45 and Rainy is the worst weather. Anything warmer or colder is better.
  16. The internet said the post office was closed today. But it was open!
  17. I've only heard good things about the Sparx, but I've never used one. I would be partial to the flexibility and the customer service of established skate sharpener companies like Blademaster, but I understand that may not be a need for you. If you're only sharpening your own skates and maybe your kid's skates every few weeks then the Sparx is probably fine for you. I've heard that they struggle with goalie skates over size 10, so keep that in mind if that's something you think you might encounter.
  18. The Panthers always beat us in extremely boring games. I almost never watch Panthers/Sabres games.
  19. They're supposed to be pretty good. That said, learning to sharpen your own skates isn't really that hard. An afternoon of practice when I worked at a pro shop was all it took to get me going. Buy a pair of used skates from the local used sporting goods store and practice on those blades. Mess them up as much as you want.
  20. Flying Bison has a Small Batch Series brew out right now called Blackbird Stout, and it might be the best beer Flying Bison has ever made.
  21. Give me all the Star Wars content!
  22. Someday I'm going to buy the right pair of hockey skates. I'm still trying to find a replacement for my crappy Vapors that I used all through college. First I ended up in new Vapors that were too big, then I ended up in Supremes that were too small. Now I'm standing at the hockey store waiting for a pair of Ribcores to get sharpened. I want to say these are finally the winners, but who the hell knows. But my broken feet from Monday sure feel a lot better in them, so we'll see.
  23. What'd we do to deserve these defensive injuries. And what shaman do we need to find to make it stop.
