I think this is fair. Crosby had Lemieux, Gonchar, Recchi, LeClair, Odelein, Palffy. Eichel had Gionta, Moulson, Legwand. Yuck.

Nah, I don't care about his off ice stuff. It's more with how he fits. It seems like for Kane to be good everyone around him has to be bad. We need goals. But I'm concerned the cost is something deeper.

Kane is an enigma to me. He's a good hockey player, but I'm not sure if he's the right hockey player. Unfortunately it's very clear we're not in a position to say we don't need him.
